Fits NetScout AirCheck G2 and LinkRunner AT; replaces ACKG2-WBP and SNBP-LION battery packs.
3.7V, 5200mAh lithium-ion delivers full measurement cycles without mid-session power loss.
Connector slides straight into the battery slot with no orientation guesswork required.
Bench testing showed clean BMS handshake on first insertion with no cutoff lag.
After installation, run a full calibration cycle through the instrument menu before field deployment — the AirCheck G2 maps battery state during calibration, and skipping this step causes premature low-battery warnings on the first measurement session.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

NetScout AirCheck G2 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (ACKG2-WBP)

This is a 3.7V, 5200mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the NetScout AirCheck G2 Wi-Fi network analyser and AirCheck G2 WLAN Tester. It also fits the LinkRunner AT Network Auto-Tester. OEM part numbers ACKG2-WBP and SNBP-LION both cross to this pack.

  • AirCheck G2 and LinkRunner AT compatibility: Both instruments share the same 3.7V battery bay, connector pinout, and BMS communication protocol — the same cell pack services the full platform without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack through a full charge and discharge cycle on the AirCheck G2. The BMS reported state-of-charge correctly, and the instrument held stable voltage through the WLAN scanning and site survey load profile without tripping cutoff.
  • First-use calibration on the AirCheck G2: After installing this battery, run a full calibration cycle through the instrument's system menu before field deployment. The AirCheck G2 maps battery state during that process — skipping it causes premature low-battery warnings on the first measurement session.

BMS lockout after the AirCheck G2 sat unused in a carry case for months

Li-ion cells self-discharge during storage. If the AirCheck G2 sat unused long enough, the pack voltage can drop below the BMS recovery threshold — typically around 2.5V per cell. At that point the BMS enters a protective sleep state and the instrument will not power on even when connected to a charger. Connecting the unit to a USB-C power source and holding the power button for 10–15 seconds can trigger a BMS wake sequence. If the pack recovers to above 3.0V, normal charging resumes from there.

AirCheck G2 shuts down during USB data transfer to a PC

USB data transfer adds a second simultaneous draw on top of active WLAN scanning — the combined load can pull the voltage low enough to trip the BMS undervoltage cutoff, even with a battery that showed adequate charge beforehand. This is not a faulty cell; it is a threshold event caused by the combined current spike. Charge the battery to full before transferring logs, and avoid running a live site survey during the transfer. A pack resting at 3.6V or above before you plug in the USB cable will clear this cutoff margin.

Frequently Asked Questions

The AirCheck G2 powers on fine but shuts off the moment it starts scanning for networks — what's causing that?

The WLAN radio and sensor stack draw a sharp current spike at scan initialisation, which can push the BMS into undervoltage cutoff if the cell is even slightly degraded or not fully charged. This is a BMS protection event, not a hardware fault in the instrument. Charge the replacement pack to 100% before the first scan session and let the instrument complete a full calibration cycle through the system menu. If the pack voltage is sitting at 3.7V or above when you start, the BMS threshold clears cleanly.

The battery percentage on the AirCheck G2 display jumps around or resets to a different number after each reboot — is the pack faulty?

This is a voltage-threshold recalibration issue, not a defective cell. The instrument's fuel gauge maps percentage against a known discharge curve, and a new pack with different cell characteristics needs a full cycle to anchor that curve. Run one complete discharge — use the instrument through active scanning until the low-battery warning triggers — then charge back to 100% without interruption. After one full cycle the percentage readout stabilises.

The AirCheck G2 won't charge after the battery was left flat inside the case for several weeks — is the pack dead?

A deeply discharged Li-ion pack can drop below the BMS recovery voltage, which causes the BMS to block charging entirely as a protection measure. Connect the instrument to its original wall charger rather than a PC USB port — the wall charger delivers enough current to trigger the trickle-charge wake sequence. Hold the power button for 10–15 seconds while connected. If the BMS responds, the charge LED will activate within two minutes and the pack will recover to a normal charge state from there.
