Fits Televes H30FLEX signal level meter, replaces OEM part E-1982.
7.4V 2600mAh chemistry delivers sustained power during extended field measurements without mid-survey dropouts.
Connector slides straight in with positive terminal forward; locking tab seats flush against instrument housing.
Bench testing showed clean BMS handshake on first charge cycle with flat voltage ramp during probe initialization.
After installation, run the instrument's full calibration sequence from the menu before field deployment — this maps battery state and prevents premature low-battery warnings during your first measurement session.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Televes H30FLEX — 7.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery (E-1982)

This is a 7.4V 2600mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the Televes H30FLEX signal level meter. It fits the H30FLEX portable test instrument used by technicians to measure TV and broadband signal quality in the field. Capacity is rated at 2600mAh (19.24Wh), matching the OEM specification.

  • H30FLEX platform fit: The H30FLEX uses a single-cell-equivalent 7.4V Li-ion pack with a specific connector and BMS communication handshake. This replacement matches that voltage rail and connector pinout so the instrument's power management circuit accepts the pack without throwing a battery fault code.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through the H30FLEX's power-on sequence and active measurement load. The BMS handled the probe initialisation current spike without tripping, and the instrument's charge indicator tracked correctly across the full discharge curve.
  • Post-install calibration step: After fitting this battery, run a full calibration cycle through the H30FLEX instrument menu before deploying to site. The meter maps battery state during that sequence — skipping it causes premature low-battery warnings to fire on the first real measurement session.

BMS lockout after the H30FLEX sat unused in a carry case for months

Li-ion cells self-discharge during storage. If the H30FLEX sits unused long enough, the pack voltage drops below the BMS's minimum recovery threshold — typically around 2.5V per cell. At that point the BMS enters a protective lockout state and blocks both charge and discharge. The instrument will not power on and the charger shows no activity. To recover, apply a compatible charger that supports a trickle or pre-charge mode and hold it on the pack for 15–30 minutes until cell voltage climbs above 3.0V per cell, at which point the BMS re-enables normal charging.

H30FLEX display showing an inconsistent battery percentage at every reboot

This is a voltage-threshold recalibration issue, not a fault with the replacement pack. The H30FLEX's battery indicator is referenced against voltage thresholds tuned to the original cells — a new pack with slightly different internal resistance reads the same open-circuit voltage but behaves differently under load. The percentage shown at startup is estimated from resting voltage alone, so it can jump 10–20% once the instrument starts drawing current. Run two or three full charge-discharge cycles through normal field use and the meter's percentage will stabilise against the new pack's actual discharge profile.

Frequently Asked Questions

The H30FLEX powers on fine but shuts off the moment I start a USB data transfer to my laptop — is the battery dead?

This is a combined-load cutoff, not a dead pack. The H30FLEX draws simultaneously from the battery during active measurement and USB data transfer, and if cell voltage sags below the BMS's cutoff threshold under that combined load, the instrument shuts down to protect the cells. We saw this on the bench with a partially discharged pack — a full charge resolved it. Charge the battery to 100% and retry the transfer; if it still cuts out at the same point, check that you are using the instrument's own USB cable, as third-party cables with higher resistance increase the voltage drop under load.

The H30FLEX goes blank mid-measurement even though the battery indicator showed half charge thirty seconds earlier — what's happening?

Sustained sensor and tuner load during active signal measurement draws more current than the battery indicator accounts for at rest. If the cells have any capacity fade or the pack has been partially discharged, voltage can sag sharply under that sustained load and trigger the BMS cutoff — even when the display showed 50% a moment before. This is a voltage dropout under load, not a calibration error. Charge the pack fully before a long measurement session, and if dropouts continue at full charge, check that the battery contacts on the instrument are clean and making firm contact.

This replacement pack won't take a charge after sitting in the charger overnight — the charger light never changed to indicate full.

If the pack voltage dropped too low during storage, the BMS enters a lockout that prevents normal charging from starting. The charger handshake never completes, so the indicator light stays on the fault or empty state. Check the pack's open-circuit voltage with a multimeter — if either cell reads below 2.5V, the pack needs a trickle pre-charge to recover. Use a charger with a recovery or pre-charge mode, apply it for 20–30 minutes, and once cell voltage reaches 3.0V the BMS should re-enable and normal charging will begin.
