Fits Acer Iconia Tab 7 A1-713 and A1-713HD models, replaces OEM part ZAW1975Q.
Delivers 3.8V at 3400mAh capacity — powers the 7-inch display, processor, and WiFi radio through full workday cycles.
Connector slides into the stock slot with no modifications; locking tab engages on insertion and seats flush against the housing.
We bench-tested this pack against the A1-713 charge IC — BMS accepted negotiation on first cycle, voltage curve tracked nominal, no early cutoff observed.
After installation, run one full discharge to automatic shutoff then charge uninterrupted to 100% — this recalibrates the fuel gauge IC against the new cell and clears inaccurate percentage readings.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Acer Iconia Tab 7 A1-713 / A1-713HD — 3.8V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (ZAW1975Q)

This is a 3.8V, 3400mAh (12.92Wh) lithium-polymer battery for the Acer Iconia Tab 7, covering models A1-713 and A1-713HD. It replaces OEM part ZAW1975Q when the original cell no longer holds a usable charge. The battery fits the 7-inch Android tablet form factor with dimensions of 127.10 x 60.15 x 3.30mm.

  • A1-713 and A1-713HD compatibility: Both tablet variants share the same physical battery bay, connector pinout, and charge IC communication protocol. One cell fits both — no hardware modification needed.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this battery through charge and discharge on the A1-713 platform. The BMS accepted the charge handshake correctly on first connection, and the protection circuit responded to over-voltage and thermal thresholds within spec.
  • Fuel gauge reset after installation: After fitting this battery, run the tablet down to automatic shutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100% without using the device. This forces the fuel gauge IC to recalibrate against the new cell's actual capacity curve and clears the inaccurate percentage readings that typically appear after a swap.

Why the Iconia Tab 7 shuts down at 15–25% after a battery swap

The A1-713's fuel gauge IC stores a learned capacity map from the original cell. When a new cell goes in, that map is stale — the IC thinks the voltage floor is higher than it actually is. Under combined display and Wi-Fi load, voltage sags briefly, the IC reads that sag against the old map, and the tablet shuts down even though real charge remains. One full discharge-to-shutoff cycle followed by a complete uninterrupted charge corrects the map and stops premature shutdowns.

Fast charging not available after fitting a replacement cell

The Iconia Tab 7's charge controller negotiates charge rate during the first accepted charge cycle on a new cell. Until that cycle completes, the device may fall back to standard 5V charging speeds. This is not a fault with the replacement battery — it is the controller validating the new cell's impedance profile. Charge the tablet fully from near-flat without interruption once, and normal charge rate resumes on subsequent cycles.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Acer Iconia Tab 7 is showing 80% battery right after I installed the new battery — is the gauge broken?

The fuel gauge IC on the A1-713 calibrates to the original cell over time. When a new cell goes in, the stored calibration data no longer matches the actual cell, so the reported percentage is wrong from the start. This is not a fault. Discharge the tablet fully to automatic shutoff, then charge it uninterrupted to 100% — that single cycle resets the IC's reference points and the percentage display stabilises.

The Iconia Tab 7 feels warm near the charging port while the new battery charges — should I be concerned?

Mild warmth during the first few charge cycles on a new lithium-polymer cell is normal. The charge IC runs a conditioning phase on a fresh cell that draws slightly more power than steady-state charging, generating a small amount of heat. If the tablet becomes hot to the touch or the charge stops before 100%, disconnect and let it cool to room temperature before resuming. Warmth that disappears after the first two or three full cycles is not a fault.

After the battery swap, my Iconia Tab 7 percentage drops fast from 100% but then slows down — what's happening?

This is fuel gauge drift caused by the IC using an outdated capacity curve from the old cell. The new cell has a different discharge profile, so the early voltage drop reads as a steep percentage fall even though actual charge is leaving the cell at a normal rate. Run one complete cycle — discharge to automatic shutoff, charge uninterrupted to 100% — and the IC remaps itself to the new cell. The percentage drop rate across the full charge range will even out after that cycle.
