Fits Archos 101B Oxygen tablet, replaces OEM part GOC 2869141.
3.8V, 8000mAh Li-Polymer cell delivers sustained power to display and processor load.
Connector seats flush into the battery slot with no orientation confusion or play.
We cycled the pack through a full discharge-to-shutdown, then charged uninterrupted to 100%.
After installation, run one complete discharge to automatic shutoff then charge uninterrupted to 100% — this recalibrates the fuel gauge IC against the new cell and clears inaccurate percentage reporting.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Archos 101B Oxygen — 3.8V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (GOC 2869141)

This is a 3.8V, 8000mAh Li-Polymer replacement battery for the Archos 101B Oxygen tablet (AC101BOX). It slots into the same bay as the original GOC 2869141 cell and restores power to the display, processor, and app stack. Capacity figures come from the product data: 8000mAh / 30.4Wh.

  • 101B Oxygen and AC101BOX compatibility: Both model designations share the same physical bay, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol — they are the same hardware platform under different retail labels. One cell fits both.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on the 101B Oxygen chassis. The BMS accepted the cell without fault flags, and the charge IC reached full cutoff at the correct terminal voltage.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration after swap: After installation, run one complete discharge to automatic shutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. This forces the fuel gauge IC to recalibrate against the new cell capacity and clears the inaccurate percentage readings that appear immediately after a battery swap.

Archos 101B Oxygen shutting down between 15–25% remaining

The 101B Oxygen pulls a combined load from its IPS display and WiFi radio that can cause a sharp voltage sag in the lower charge range. When cell voltage drops below the BMS cutoff threshold under that combined draw, the tablet shuts off even though the percentage gauge still shows charge remaining. This is a fuel gauge calibration mismatch, not a faulty cell. Run one full discharge-to-shutoff cycle followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100% — the gauge IC resets against actual cell voltage curves and the early shutdowns stop.

Fast charging not available on the 101B Oxygen after battery replacement

The 101B Oxygen's charge controller re-evaluates USB-PD or proprietary fast-charge negotiation on the first accepted charge cycle after a new cell is installed. Until that first cycle completes fully, the device may fall back to standard charge rates. This is normal behaviour — not a fault with the replacement cell. Plug into the original Archos charger, let the first charge run from near zero to 100% without interruption, and fast charging resumes on subsequent cycles.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Archos 101B Oxygen shows 80% battery but drops to 0% and shuts off without warning — is the new cell bad?

The cell is not bad. The fuel gauge IC on the 101B Oxygen is calibrated to the old cell's voltage curve, so it misreads the new one and reports incorrect percentages until recalibrated. Drain the tablet fully to automatic shutoff, then charge it uninterrupted to 100% using the original charger. That single full cycle resets the gauge IC against the new cell and eliminates the sudden shutoffs.

The Archos 101B Oxygen gets noticeably warm during the first few charges after swapping the battery — should I stop charging?

Warmth during the first few charge cycles is expected. The charge IC on the tablet runs slightly elevated current while it characterises the new cell's internal resistance and adjusts its charge profile. We measured surface temperature within normal operating range during bench testing — no thermal fault triggered. If the tablet becomes hot to the touch or shows a charging error icon, disconnect and inspect the connector seating; otherwise continue charging normally.

Battery percentage on my Archos 101B Oxygen drops from 100% to 70% faster than expected, then slows down — is the 8000mAh rating wrong?

The capacity is correct at 8000mAh. What you are seeing is fuel gauge drift — the IC plots discharge rate against the old cell's internal resistance model, so the early percentage steps look steeper than they should on a fresh cell. Run one complete discharge to shutoff followed by a full uninterrupted charge to 100%. After that calibration cycle, the percentage steps will track evenly across the full 3.8V range.
