Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Logicom La Tab 72 — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (BT-1372S121616)
This is a 3.7V 2800mAh lithium-polymer battery for the Logicom La Tab 72 tablet. It replaces OEM part number BT-1372S121616 and fits the original battery bay without modification. Voltage and capacity match the original cell specification from Logicom.
- La Tab 72 fitment: The La Tab 72 uses a flat Li-Polymer pouch cell at 3.7V nominal. The charge IC on the tablet's mainboard communicates directly with this cell format. A mismatched voltage or oversized cell risks rejected charging sessions or BMS lockout.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this battery through charge and discharge on the La Tab 72 platform. The BMS accepted the cell without error, and the charge IC completed a full cycle without triggering a fault cutoff.
- Fuel gauge recalibration after swap: After fitting this battery, run the tablet down to automatic shutoff, then charge it uninterrupted to 100% without using the device. This single full cycle resets the fuel gauge IC against the new cell and clears the inaccurate percentage display that almost always appears after a battery swap.
La Tab 72 shutting down at 15–25% remaining
This happens when the display backlight, processor, and Wi-Fi radio pull current simultaneously — a combined load spike that drops cell voltage below the BMS cutoff threshold before the gauge reads zero. The fuel gauge IC was calibrated against the old, degraded cell, so its percentage curve no longer matches actual cell voltage. The tablet interprets the voltage sag as a dead battery and shuts down even though charge remains. One full discharge-to-shutoff cycle followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100% resets the calibration curve and typically resolves this.
Fast charging not available after fitting the new battery
The La Tab 72 charge IC negotiates charge rate on the first accepted cycle after a new cell is installed. Until that handshake completes, the device may fall back to standard 5V charging. This is not a fault with the battery. Use the original charger and cable for the first full charge cycle — third-party cables with resistive losses can prevent the protocol negotiation from completing. After one successful full charge, the fast charge option returns at its normal negotiated rate.

Frequently Asked Questions
My La Tab 72 is showing 60% battery but it just switched off by itself — is the new battery faulty?
The battery is not faulty. The fuel gauge IC on the La Tab 72 mainboard was calibrated against the old cell's voltage curve, and the new cell's curve sits in a different position — so the percentage reading and the real charge state are out of sync. The tablet's BMS hits its low-voltage cutoff while the gauge still shows a high number. Run the tablet down to automatic shutoff, then charge it continuously to 100% without interruption — this resets the gauge IC calibration against the new cell, and the shutdowns stop.
The battery percentage on my La Tab 72 is jumping around after I replaced the battery — it went from 80% down to 40% in a few minutes without heavy use.
Percentage jumps after a swap are a fuel gauge drift problem, not a cell defect. The gauge IC learned the discharge curve of the original battery over hundreds of cycles, and that learned curve does not match the new cell. The result is large, erratic percentage drops that don't reflect actual charge consumed. One full discharge to automatic shutoff followed by a complete uninterrupted charge to 100% forces the IC to re-map its curve against the new cell — percentage readings stabilise after that single cycle.
My La Tab 72 feels warm while charging the new battery — should I be concerned?
Mild warmth during the first few charge cycles is normal. The charge IC on the La Tab 72 mainboard runs a conditioning phase on a new Li-Polymer cell, which generates slightly more heat than a cell it has already profiled. If the tablet becomes hot to the touch or interrupts charging before reaching 100%, check that the charger output matches the original specification — an over-voltage charger will cause the BMS to cut off early and produce excess heat. With the correct charger, surface temperature should drop to ambient levels by the second or third full charge cycle.
