Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Polaroid MIDS747PXE / MIDS747PXE52 — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (SR3070110P)
This 3.7V, 2800mAh (10.36Wh) lithium-polymer cell is a direct replacement for the Polaroid MIDS747PXE and MIDS747PXE52 tablets. It slots into the same footprint as the original SR3070110P pack — 93.50 × 70.00 × 3.6mm — and connects to the same charge IC and fuel gauge circuit. If your tablet won't hold a charge or shuts down unexpectedly, this is the cell to replace.
- MIDS747PXE and MIDS747PXE52 compatibility: Both tablet variants run the same 3.7V power rail and use the same BMS handshake, connector orientation, and cell footprint, so one part number covers both.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the MIDS747PXE platform. The BMS accepted the cell without fault codes, and the charge IC moved correctly through constant-current and constant-voltage phases to full termination.
- Fuel gauge recalibration after swap: After fitting this cell, run one full discharge to automatic shutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. This resets the fuel gauge IC calibration against the new cell and clears the inaccurate percentage readings that appear immediately after a battery swap.
Polaroid MIDS747PXE shutting down at 15–25% remaining
When the display backlight and Wi-Fi radio draw simultaneously, the combined load causes a sharp voltage sag in a degraded or uncalibrated cell. The BMS reads that sag as a critically low voltage event and triggers an emergency cutoff — even though the reported percentage is still in double digits. A new cell with a fresh calibration cycle eliminates the false floor. After installation, discharge fully to auto-shutoff once, then recharge to 100% without interruption to anchor the fuel gauge to the real cell capacity.
Tablet showing wrong battery percentage after battery replacement
The fuel gauge IC inside the MIDS747PXE was calibrated to the charge curve of the original, often degraded cell. Drop in a fresh 2800mAh pack and the IC is still mapping voltage readings against that old curve — so 80% on screen might mean 60% actual, or the percentage jumps erratically. This is not a fault with the replacement cell. One full discharge-to-shutoff followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100% resets the IC's internal model to the new cell's real voltage curve and resolves the mismatch.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Polaroid MIDS747PXE shows 30% battery and then just dies — is the new cell faulty?
The cell is not faulty. The fuel gauge IC was calibrated to your old, worn-out battery and is misreading the voltage curve of the new 2800mAh cell. Under combined display and Wi-Fi load, the voltage sags sharply and the BMS triggers a cutoff before the real charge is spent. Run one full discharge to automatic shutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100% — after that cycle the IC recalibrates and the early shutdowns stop.
The percentage on my MIDS747PXE jumps around or reads higher than expected right after fitting the new battery — what's happening?
The tablet's fuel gauge IC learned the discharge curve of your original, degraded cell over months of use. A fresh 2800mAh cell has a different voltage-to-capacity curve, so the IC's stored model no longer matches. The reading will drift or spike until the IC recalibrates. Do one complete discharge to auto-shutoff followed by a full, uninterrupted charge to 100% — that single cycle resets the fuel gauge against the new cell.
The MIDS747PXE feels warm while charging after the battery swap — should I be concerned?
Mild warmth during charging is normal with a new lithium-polymer cell. The charge IC runs a higher current in the constant-current phase against a cell that starts at a low state of charge, which generates more heat than you'd see with a partially degraded original battery. If the tablet becomes hot to the touch or the charge IC shuts down mid-session, check that the connector is fully seated and that nothing is blocking the back of the tablet. Under normal conditions, warmth drops off once the cell reaches the constant-voltage phase near 4.2V.
