Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Asus ZenPad C 7.0 P01Z — 3.85V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (C11P1517)
This 3.85V, 4650mAh (17.9Wh) lithium-polymer battery replaces the original C11P1517 unit in the Asus ZenPad C 7.0 P01Z tablet. It also fits the ZenPad 10 Z300CNL and ZenPad Z300M. The physical dimensions are 103.56 × 95.56 × 2.70mm — verify these against your existing cell before ordering.
- ZenPad C 7.0 and Z300 series compatibility: These models share the C11P1517 cell specification, the same flat connector pinout, and a compatible BMS handshake with the charge IC on this board family. Swapping between these variants does not require firmware changes.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and load cycles on a ZenPad C 7.0 P01Z unit. The BMS accepted the charge IC handshake without fault codes, and cell voltage held stable across display and Wi-Fi combined load.
- Fuel gauge recalibration after swap: After installation, run one full discharge to automatic shutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. This resets the fuel gauge IC calibration against the new cell and clears the inaccurate percentage readings that commonly appear after a battery swap.
ZenPad C 7.0 shutting down between 15–25% remaining
This happens when the display backlight and Wi-Fi radio draw simultaneously, pulling cell voltage below the BMS cutoff threshold before the reported percentage reaches zero. The fuel gauge IC still references the old cell's discharge curve, so it misreads how much capacity remains at that voltage level. After the recalibration cycle described above, the shutdown point drops back to near 0%. If it persists past two full cycles, check that the battery connector is fully seated — a partial connection raises internal resistance and triggers early cutoff.
Fast charging unavailable after battery replacement
The ZenPad C 7.0 uses USB-PD negotiation to enable faster charge rates. On a freshly installed cell, the charge IC sometimes withholds fast charge until one standard accepted charge cycle completes. Plug the tablet into the original Asus charger — not a third-party adapter — and let it run one full uninterrupted charge from low to 100%. After that cycle, fast charge negotiation resumes normally. If it still does not engage, confirm the charger outputs at least 5V/2A, as lower-output adapters skip the negotiation step entirely.

Frequently Asked Questions
My ZenPad C 7.0 shows 80% battery but powers off immediately — why?
The fuel gauge IC is calibrated to the discharge curve of the old, degraded cell. With a new cell installed, the IC misreads voltage and reports a higher percentage than the actual remaining charge. Run one full discharge to automatic shutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100% without interruption. After that single calibration cycle, the percentage reading aligns with the new cell and unexpected shutoffs stop.
The battery percentage on my ZenPad is jumping around — dropping 10% in minutes then sitting at the same number for an hour. Is the replacement battery faulty?
This is fuel gauge IC drift, not a faulty cell. The IC is still using the charge curve mapped to the original battery, so it reports erratically against the new cell's different internal resistance profile. One complete discharge-to-shutoff followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100% forces the IC to remap against the new cell. After that cycle, percentage readings stabilise and step down evenly.
The tablet feels warm near the top edge while charging after the swap — is the new cell overheating?
The warmth comes from the charge IC on the board, not the cell itself. A new lithium-polymer cell has lower internal resistance than a degraded original, so the charge IC briefly dissipates slightly more heat as it adapts to the new cell's acceptance rate. Surface temperature during charging should stay below 40°C — if you can hold your hand against the case without discomfort, it is within normal range. If the tablet becomes too hot to hold or shuts down during charging, disconnect it and check that the battery connector is fully and evenly seated.
