Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

BlackView Tab 12 Pro — 3.8V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (3092E0)

This is a 3.8V, 6500mAh (24.7Wh) lithium-polymer battery for the BlackView Tab 12 Pro tablet. It replaces OEM part number 3092E0. Fit this battery when the original cell no longer holds charge or the tablet shuts down unexpectedly during use.

  • Tab 12 Pro fit: The Tab 12 Pro uses a single-cell Li-Polymer pack at 3.8V nominal. The 3092E0 part number maps to one connector configuration and one cell format — there are no sub-variants to account for on this model.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this battery through charge and discharge on the Tab 12 Pro platform. The BMS accepted the cell without fault flags, and the charge IC ramped to full current within the first accepted cycle.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration after install: After fitting this battery, run one full discharge to automatic shutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. This forces the fuel gauge IC to recalibrate against the new cell and corrects the inaccurate percentage readings that commonly appear after a swap.

Tab 12 Pro shutting down at 15–25% remaining

This happens when the display backlight and Wi-Fi radio fire simultaneously, pulling combined current the fuel gauge hasn't mapped yet. Voltage drops faster than the IC predicts, and the tablet treats it as a low-voltage cutoff. It is not a faulty battery. Run one complete discharge-to-shutoff cycle followed by an uninterrupted full charge. After that single cycle, the IC recalibrates and the shutdowns stop.

Fast charging not available after battery swap

Fast charge on the Tab 12 Pro requires the charge IC to complete one full USB-PD negotiation cycle with the new cell present. Until that cycle finishes, the charger defaults to standard current. This is not a defect with the replacement cell. Charge the tablet fully from near-zero once using the original BlackView adapter, and fast charge availability returns on the following session.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Tab 12 Pro is showing 80% battery right after a full charge — is the new battery faulty?

The fuel gauge IC calibrated itself to the old cell's charge curve, so it reads inaccurately on a fresh replacement. Run the tablet down to automatic shutoff, then charge it uninterrupted to 100% without unplugging early. That single full cycle resets the calibration. After it completes, the percentage display tracks correctly against the new 6500mAh cell.

The Tab 12 Pro feels warm on the back while charging after I fitted this battery — is that normal?

Yes. On the first few charge cycles, the charge IC is actively profiling the new cell's internal resistance and adjusting current accordingly. This produces slightly more heat than a fully conditioned cell generates. Surface warmth during charging is normal at this stage. If the tablet becomes hot to the touch or shows a temperature warning on screen, disconnect and check that the battery connector is fully seated.

My Tab 12 Pro percentage drops from 100% to around 70% much faster than expected — what's wrong?

This is fuel gauge drift — the IC hasn't completed a full recalibration cycle against the new cell yet, so it over-reports discharge in the top range. It is not a capacity issue with the replacement battery. Discharge the tablet fully to automatic shutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100% in one session. After that cycle, the gauge anchors correctly to the new cell's actual charge curve and the fast drop disappears.
