Fits BlackView Tab 5, Tab 6, and model 3210099 with OEM part number Li32A097HTT.
3.8V lithium-polymer cell rated 5500mAh (20.9Wh) restores full charge capacity to tablets that shut down prematurely or report inaccurate percentage.
Connector is a two-pin JST with positive and negative orientation marked on the housing; seats flush against the battery door contact plate without force.
We ran a full charge cycle on the bench — the fuel gauge IC accepted the new cell without fault codes and held voltage steady under WiFi plus display load.
After installation, run one complete discharge to automatic shutoff then charge uninterrupted to 100% — this resets the fuel gauge calibration and fixes percentage display drift common after a cell swap.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

BlackView Tab 8 / Tab 5 / Tab 6 — 3.8V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (Li32A097HTT)

This is a 3.8V, 5500mAh (20.9Wh) lithium-polymer replacement battery for the BlackView Tab 8, Tab 5, and Tab 6 tablets. It fits devices listed under OEM part number Li32A097HTT and fit model 3210099. It restores power to the display, processor, and wireless radios when the original cell can no longer hold a usable charge.

  • Tab 8, Tab 5, and Tab 6 compatibility: These three models share the same battery format, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol — all three draw from the same 3.8V cell architecture, so one part number covers all variants without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on Tab 8 hardware. The BMS accepted the cell without fault flags, voltage held stable under combined display and Wi-Fi load, and the charge IC cycled correctly from cutoff back to full.
  • Fuel gauge reset after installation: After swapping this battery in, run one full discharge to automatic shutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. This resets the fuel gauge IC calibration against the new cell and clears the inaccurate percentage readings that commonly appear after a swap.

Tablet shutting down at 15–25% remaining after battery replacement

This happens because the fuel gauge IC is still calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve. When the display and Wi-Fi radios draw current together, voltage drops sharply at the point the old curve predicted empty — and the tablet shuts down even though capacity remains. The fix is a single full discharge-to-shutoff followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100%. After that cycle, the fuel gauge remaps to the new cell and the early cutoff disappears.

Fast charging not available after battery swap

Some BlackView tablets require one completed standard charge cycle before the charge controller will negotiate fast-charge protocols with a new cell. Until that first cycle completes, the device defaults to a lower charge rate as a precaution. Plug in with the original or a USB-PD compatible charger and let it run a full charge uninterrupted. Fast charging typically becomes available from the second charge cycle onward.

Frequently Asked Questions

My BlackView tablet shows 30% battery and then shuts off without warning — is this a faulty replacement cell?

The cell is not faulty. The fuel gauge IC is still using the discharge curve from the old battery, so it triggers a shutdown when voltage sags under combined display and Wi-Fi load — even though charge remains. Run one full discharge to automatic shutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. After that cycle the gauge recalibrates to the new cell and the premature shutdowns stop.

The battery percentage on my BlackView Tab 8 is jumping around after the swap — it reads 80%, then drops to 60% in minutes with light use. What's wrong?

Nothing is wrong with the cell — the fuel gauge IC is still mapped to the old cell's capacity profile. The readings drift because the stored calibration data no longer matches the actual voltage-to-capacity curve of the new battery. One full discharge-to-shutoff followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100% resets the calibration. Percentage accuracy stabilises after that single cycle.

Fast charging stopped working after I replaced the battery on my BlackView Tab 6. The charger is the same one I always used.

BlackView's charge controller defaults to standard charging on the first cycle with a new cell before it will negotiate fast-charge rates. This is normal behaviour — not a fault with the battery or the charger. Let the tablet complete one full uninterrupted charge from near-empty to 100% using your original charger. Fast charging resumes from the second charge cycle onward.
