Fits Lenovo Legion Y700 tablet, replaces OEM part numbers L21C2P32, L21D2P32, L21L2P32, L21M2P32, and SB18D21931.
3.87V at 6400mAh capacity powers the Y700's display and WiFi stack without throttle.
Connector seats flat against the mainboard with a single locking tab on the left edge.
We bench-tested this cell on the Legion Y700 charging circuit; BMS accepted the pack on first cycle without fault codes.
After installation, run one full discharge to automatic shutoff then charge uninterrupted to 100% — this resets the fuel gauge IC calibration against the new cell.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Lenovo Legion Y700 / TB-9707F — 3.87V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (L21C2P32)

This is a 3.87V, 6400mAh Li-Polymer replacement battery for the Lenovo Legion Y700 gaming tablet (TB-9707F). It matches OEM part numbers L21C2P32, L21D2P32, L21L2P32, L21M2P32, and SB18D21931. Use this when the original cell no longer holds charge or the tablet shuts down under gaming load.

  • Legion Y700 and TB-9707F compatibility: Both model designations reference the same hardware generation. They share the same voltage rail, connector footprint, and BMS handshake protocol, so one cell revision covers both.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this battery through charge and discharge on a TB-9707F board. The BMS accepted the cell without error flags, and the charge IC stepped through CC/CV phases normally with no cutoff events.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration after swap: After installation, run one full discharge to automatic shutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. This resets the fuel gauge IC against the new cell and clears the inaccurate percentage readings that commonly appear after a battery replacement.

Legion Y700 shutting down at 15–25% during gaming sessions

The Legion Y700 pulls simultaneous load from the display, GPU, and WiFi radio during active gameplay. At around 3.5V cell voltage, this combined draw can trigger the BMS undervoltage cutoff before the OS registers 0%. The old degraded cell hits that voltage cliff earlier, which is why shutdowns happen at 15–25% rather than near empty. A new cell with full capacity pushes that cutoff point back toward true zero under the same load conditions.

Fast charging not available after battery replacement

The Legion Y700 uses a proprietary fast charge protocol that the charge IC re-negotiates during the first accepted charge cycle on a new cell. If fast charging shows as unavailable after the swap, the controller has not yet completed that handshake. Plug into the original Lenovo charger — not a generic USB-C adapter — and let the battery charge fully without interruption. After one complete cycle to 100%, the fast charge option reappears in the battery settings.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Legion Y700 shows 80% battery right after a full charge — why is the percentage wrong after replacing the battery?

The fuel gauge IC on the Legion Y700 was calibrated to the old cell's internal resistance curve. When a new cell goes in, those reference points no longer match, so the reported percentage drifts immediately. Run one full discharge to automatic shutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100% without using the tablet. That single cycle re-anchors the fuel gauge IC to the new cell and the percentage display corrects itself.

The Legion Y700 gets noticeably warm while charging after the battery swap — is the new cell faulty?

Warmth during the first few charge cycles on a new Li-Polymer cell is normal. The charge IC runs a conditioning pass on an unfamiliar cell, which generates slightly more heat than steady-state charging on a broken-in battery. If the tablet stays warm but is not hot to the touch and the temperature drops after the first two or three full cycles, the cell is behaving correctly. If it stays hot beyond three cycles, check that the charge IC is not stuck in a fast charge mode — confirm the charger output matches the tablet's rated input.

The Legion Y700 percentage drops quickly from 100% down to around 80%, then slows — is the battery capacity wrong?

This is fuel gauge drift, not a capacity problem. The gauge IC uses a voltage-versus-state-of-charge lookup table that was built around the old cell. Upper voltage compression on a new Li-Polymer cell makes the first 20% look faster than it actually is. Complete one full discharge-to-shutoff cycle followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100%. After that cycle the lookup table recalibrates and the percentage steps down at an even rate from full charge.
