Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Razer Blade 17 Early 2022 — 15.4V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (RC30-0423)
This is a 15.4V, 5300mAh (81.62Wh) lithium-polymer replacement battery for the Razer Blade 17 Early 2022 and Blade 17 RTX 3080 Ti. OEM part number RC30-0423. It fits both Blade 17 variants that share this battery bay format and connector pinout.
- Blade 17 Early 2022 and RTX 3080 Ti compatibility: Both models use the same 15.4V four-cell pack with an identical connector and BMS handshake protocol. The RC30-0423 part number covers the full run of these two variants — the board expects the same EEPROM signature from either cell.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell on a Blade 17 chassis, confirmed BMS handshake at power-on, and verified charge acceptance across the full 0–100% range. The protection circuit held cutoff correctly at both ends of the voltage window.
- Post-install calibration on the Blade 17: After fitting, run the laptop on battery until it hibernates from low charge, then charge uninterrupted to 100% without interruption. This resets the BIOS battery learn cycle and clears the inaccurate health warning that appears on the first boot after a cell swap.
Why the Blade 17 reports poor battery health immediately after a cell swap
The Blade 17 BIOS reads cycle count and health data from the EEPROM embedded in the old cell. When a new cell goes in, that EEPROM data resets, and the BIOS interprets the mismatch as a degraded or unknown battery. This is a firmware read issue, not a fault with the replacement cell. Running one full discharge-to-hibernate followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100% forces the BIOS to rewrite the learn cycle against the new cell's actual chemistry. After one or two full cycles, the reported health figure corrects itself.
Blade 17 shutting down at 20–30% charge shown on screen
This happens when the fuel gauge IC is still calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve. Under full CPU and display load, the Blade 17 draws enough current to expose a voltage cliff that the uncalibrated gauge misreads as 25% remaining. The pack voltage has actually dropped below the safe floor, so the BMS trips the circuit before the OS can log a low-battery warning. Run two full discharge-to-hibernate cycles and the fuel gauge IC will map the new cell's actual voltage curve — shutdowns at false-high percentages stop after calibration is complete.

Frequently Asked Questions
The Blade 17 shows 0% or "unknown battery" on the first boot after I installed the new cell — is something wrong with the replacement?
Nothing is wrong with the cell. The BIOS pulled health and cycle data from the EEPROM in the old battery, and when it finds a fresh cell, it flags the mismatch as unknown. Run the laptop down to hibernate on battery power, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. After that full learn cycle, the BIOS rewrites its health record against the new RC30-0423 and the 0% or unknown reading clears.
My Blade 17 is showing 81.62Wh in system info but a different Wh figure keeps appearing in Razer Synapse — which one is right?
The 81.62Wh figure from system info is reading the actual cell chemistry directly. Synapse can display a rated design capacity pulled from a cached EEPROM value that doesn't always update immediately after a swap. The cell in this listing is 5300mAh at 15.4V, which is 81.62Wh — that is the correct figure. The Synapse number typically corrects itself after one full calibration cycle.
Charging stops at 80% and won't go higher — is the new battery faulty?
This is almost always a BIOS charge limit, not a cell fault. Razer's firmware includes a battery care mode that caps charging at 80% to reduce cell wear — it is toggled in Razer Synapse under Power. Open Synapse, go to the Power tab, and switch the charge limit from 80% to 100%. If Synapse is not installed, the setting can also be toggled in the BIOS power options at boot.
