Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Lenovo Yoga Smart Tab YT-X705F — 3.85V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (L19D2P32)
This 3.85V 6800mAh Li-Polymer battery replaces the OEM L19D2P32 cell in the Lenovo Yoga Smart Tab (YT-X705F). It fits the same footprint as the original at 167.20 x 101.60 x 2.80mm and connects via the stock ZIF connector on the tablet's charge board. Capacity is rated at 26.18Wh, matching the original specification.
- YT-X705F platform fit: The Yoga Smart Tab line uses a single flat Li-Polymer pouch cell with a shared BMS handshake tied to the charge IC on the motherboard. This replacement carries the same cell geometry and connector pinout, so the charge IC recognises it without firmware intervention.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on a YT-X705F unit. The BMS accepted the cell immediately, charge current ramped correctly through CC and CV phases, and the protection circuit tripped at the expected low-voltage cutoff without anomalies.
- Fuel gauge reset after installation: After fitting this battery, run one full discharge to automatic shutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. The tablet's fuel gauge IC is calibrated to the old cell's internal resistance profile — one complete cycle resets it against the new cell and clears the inaccurate percentage readings that appear immediately after a swap.
Yoga Smart Tab shutting down at 15–25% remaining
When the display is at full brightness and Wi-Fi is actively streaming, the combined load on a degraded or uncalibrated cell creates a voltage sag the BMS reads as a low-voltage cutoff event. The tablet shuts down even though the reported percentage still shows double digits. This happens because the fuel gauge is working from a state-of-charge model that no longer matches the actual cell chemistry after degradation — or after a fresh swap before recalibration. Run one full discharge-to-shutoff cycle, charge to 100% uninterrupted, and the cutoff threshold should align correctly with the reported percentage.
Fast charging not available after battery swap on the YT-X705F
The Yoga Smart Tab uses USB Power Delivery negotiation to step up charge current beyond standard 5V rates. After a battery replacement, the charge IC on the motherboard sometimes withholds PD negotiation until it has completed at least one accepted charge cycle with the new cell. Plug in with the original Lenovo charger — not a third-party cable — and allow a full charge to 100%. On the next charge session, the tablet should negotiate the higher voltage tier and fast charging resumes. Confirm the charger output is rated at 18W or above, as lower-rated adapters will not trigger PD regardless of cell state.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Yoga Smart Tab shows 80% battery but the screen just went black and it won't turn on — what happened?
This is a voltage sag shutoff, not a dead battery. Under combined display and Wi-Fi load, the cell voltage drops sharply enough that the BMS triggers a low-voltage cutoff before the reported percentage reaches zero. Connect the charger, wait two minutes, then power on — the tablet should boot and show a percentage in the 15–25% range. Run one full discharge-to-shutoff cycle followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100% to recalibrate the fuel gauge and prevent repeat shutoffs.
The battery percentage on my Yoga Smart Tab is jumping around or reading incorrectly after I replaced the battery — is the new cell faulty?
The cell is fine. The fuel gauge IC on the YT-X705F is calibrated to the internal resistance curve of the original cell, so any replacement will read inaccurately until it is recalibrated. Discharge the tablet completely to automatic shutoff — do not force a shutdown — then charge it uninterrupted to 100% without using the device. That single cycle gives the fuel gauge IC enough data to map state-of-charge accurately against the new cell, and percentage reporting stabilises from that point.
Fast charging stopped working after I swapped the battery on my Yoga Smart Tab — it's only charging slowly now.
After a battery swap, the charge IC withholds USB Power Delivery negotiation until it completes one accepted charge cycle with the new cell. Use the original Lenovo 18W or higher adapter — third-party cables with lower voltage ratings will not trigger PD at all. Charge the tablet fully to 100% in one uninterrupted session. On the following charge, the device should re-enter PD negotiation and restore fast charging automatically.
