Why the G Pad 8.0 shuts down at 15–25% remaining

The G Pad 8.0 draws simultaneous load from the display backlight and Wi-Fi radio during active use. On a degraded original cell, the voltage cliff is steep and the BMS trips before Android can log a low-battery warning. Fast charging unavailable after battery replacement on the G Pad 8.0

If the tablet falls back to standard charging speed after a battery swap, it usually means the charge IC hasn't yet completed a full accepted cycle with the new cell. LG's charge protocol on this platform re-evaluates the current profile after one complete charge cycle. Plug in using the original LG charger and cable, let it charge from near-empty to 100% without interruption, and do not use the device during that cycle. After that cycle completes, fast charge negotiation resumes at the correct rate.
