Fits Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5" SM-P600 and SM-P601 tablets, replacing OEM part numbers AA1DA04WS/7-B, T8220E, AA1DA2WS/7-B, and GH43-03998A.
This 3.8V, 6600mAh lithium-polymer cell restores full charge capacity to the SM-P600 display and processor load.
Connector slides into the battery slot with the locking tab oriented toward the tablet's edge — no forcing required.
We bench-tested the cell against an SM-P600 motherboard; the BMS accepted the charge handshake on first insertion without fault codes.
After installation, run one full discharge to automatic shutoff then charge uninterrupted to 100% — this resets the fuel gauge IC calibration against the new cell and resolves the inaccurate percentage display that appears after a swap.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 — 3.8V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (GH43-03998A)

This 3.8V, 6600mAh lithium-polymer cell replaces the original battery in the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 and related models. It fits the SM-P600, SM-P601, Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition, and SM-T520, among others. The OEM part numbers it crosses to include GH43-03998A, T8220E, T8220K, and AA1DA04WS/7-B.

  • SM-P600 and SM-P601 fitment: Both models share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. The 213.13 × 106.06 × 3.56mm cell slides into either unit without modification, and the charge IC reads the same protection registers on both.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell on an SM-P600 and monitored BMS behaviour through full charge and discharge cycles. Protection circuits tripped correctly at low-voltage cutoff, and the charge IC accepted the cell without error flags on the first cycle.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration after swap: After fitting this battery, run one full discharge to automatic shutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. The Galaxy Tab S fuel gauge IC calibrates against the old cell's wear curve — skipping this step leaves the percentage display inaccurate for days.

Tablet shutting down at 15–25% remaining after battery replacement

The SM-P600 combines a 2560×1600 Super AMOLED display with a Wi-Fi radio that can draw over 600mA simultaneously. At the low end of the charge curve, cell voltage drops sharply under that combined load — faster than the fuel gauge predicts. The tablet's protection circuit sees the voltage cliff and forces a cutoff before the reported percentage reaches zero. One full calibration cycle — discharge to shutoff, uninterrupted charge to 100% — resets the fuel gauge threshold and eliminates the premature cutoff.

Fast charging unavailable after fitting a new cell on the Galaxy Tab S 10.5

The Galaxy Tab S 10.5 uses Samsung's Adaptive Fast Charging protocol, which requires a completed charge handshake between the charger and the charge IC before elevated current is allowed. On a fresh cell, the charge IC defaults to standard current until it records one accepted full cycle. Plug the tablet into the original Samsung charger or a certified AFC-compatible adapter and let it complete one full charge from below 20% to 100% without interruption. After that cycle, the fast charge indicator will appear at the lock screen as expected.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Galaxy Tab S 10.5 shows 40% battery but shuts off immediately — why?

The fuel gauge IC on the SM-P600 is still calibrated to the wear curve of the old cell. The new cell has a different voltage-to-capacity slope, so the reported percentage and the actual cutoff voltage no longer align. Run one full discharge to automatic shutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100% without using the tablet. After that single cycle, the fuel gauge resets and the shutdown-at-percentage issue stops.

The battery percentage on my SM-P600 jumps around — drops 10% in two minutes, then barely moves for an hour. Is the new battery faulty?

This is fuel gauge drift, not a faulty cell. The charge IC learns the cell's impedance and capacity curve over the first few cycles — until it does, percentage readings are unstable. We saw the same behaviour on the bench during the first cycle on a fresh T8220E cell. Run two full discharge-to-shutoff and charge-to-100% cycles, and the readings stabilise. Check that the percentage moves no more than 2–3% per minute during normal browsing after cycle two.

The tablet gets noticeably warm near the top edge while charging after the battery swap — is that normal?

Yes. The charge controller IC sits in the top-edge PCB area of the SM-P600, and on a new cell with low internal resistance it draws close to the maximum charge current — typically around 1.8–2A — which generates more heat than a degraded old cell would. The warmth is the IC working at full rated current, not a fault. If surface temperature stays below roughly 40°C to the touch, nothing is wrong. If the tablet gets hot enough to be uncomfortable to hold, check that the charger output matches Samsung's 5V/2A specification.
