This 3.7V, 1050mAh Li-ion cell replaces the internal battery in the Wacom Intuos5 Touch pen tablet. It fits the PTH-450-XX, PTH-450-DE, PTH-450-EN, and over 35 additional Intuos5 Touch variants. The battery restores wireless operation to the tablet when the original cell no longer holds a usable charge.

This happens when the fuel gauge IC is still calibrated to the old, degraded cell. The gauge maps a dying cell's voltage curve — which collapsed steeply at low charge — onto the new cell. The tablet sees the voltage drop past its low-battery threshold earlier than it should and triggers an emergency shutdown. One full discharge-to-shutoff followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100% rewrites the calibration reference. After that cycle, the shutdown point should sit at or below 5%.

Fast percentage drop from a full charge is almost always fuel gauge drift — the charge IC recorded a capacity figure from the old degraded cell and is now projecting discharge rate against that lower baseline. Run one complete cycle: wireless use to automatic shutoff, then a full uninterrupted charge. The gauge re-anchors to the actual cell capacity and percentage drain stabilises.
