Fits AEG model 900273786 cordless vacuum cleaners, replacing original 10.8V Li-ion battery pack.
10.8V, 1500mAh capacity delivers consistent motor voltage during carpet cleaning without early cutoff.
Connector slides straight into the battery slot with a positive locking tab — no orientation guessing.
We bench-tested this cell in an AG3101 unit; BMS held steady current draw under filter load and cycled normally.
Do not leave this vacuum on the charging dock continuously — trickle charge degrades capacity faster than removing it when full.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

AEG 900273786 / AG3101 Series — 10.8V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This is a 10.8V 1500mAh Li-ion battery for AEG cordless vacuum cleaners including the 900273786, AG3101, 900273793, and 900273794 models. It slots into the same housing as the original and connects to the same BMS communication line the charger expects. Capacity is 1500mAh (16.2Wh), matching the factory spec.

  • AG3101 and 900273xxx platform compatibility: These models share the same 10.8V battery rail, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. A battery that works on one works across the group — the charger reads the same authentication signal from each unit.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on an AEG-compatible dock. The BMS held cutoff at the correct low-voltage threshold and allowed full recharge without a handshake error or charge-refusal event.
  • Dock behaviour after replacement: Do not leave this vacuum on the charging dock continuously. AEG cordless vacuums on permanent dock charge suffer faster capacity fade than units charged only when depleted. Charge to full, then remove from the dock.

Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low

This is a voltage sag issue, not a capacity issue. When the motor encounters resistance — a partially blocked filter, a heavy carpet pile, or a debris jam — it draws more current than the rated load. The cell voltage dips below the motor controller's operating threshold before the battery gauge registers empty. The vacuum loses suction but the indicator still shows charge remaining. Clean the filter first; a restricted airflow path forces the motor to work harder and amplifies the sag.

Motor cuts out mid-use then recovers after a short pause

This is the BMS tripping on an overcurrent event, not a faulty battery. Sustained restricted suction — from a clogged filter or blocked nozzle — pushes motor current above the BMS protection threshold. The BMS disconnects the cell to prevent damage, which looks like the vacuum switching itself off. After a brief pause the BMS resets and the vacuum starts again. Check the filter and nozzle for blockage before assuming the battery is at fault; if the issue persists after clearing the restriction, measure resting cell voltage — it should sit above 11.0V after a full charge.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why does my AEG cordless vacuum lose suction well before the battery light shows it's low?

The motor is drawing excess current due to a restricted airflow path — typically a clogged filter or blocked nozzle. That current spike causes the cell voltage to sag below the motor controller's threshold even though the battery still holds charge. The gauge reads capacity, not instantaneous voltage, so it stays lit while suction drops. Remove and clean the filter, then retest — if suction stabilises, the filter was the cause, not the battery.

My AEG vacuum cuts out suddenly during use, then starts again after I wait a minute — what's happening?

The BMS is tripping on overcurrent and resetting. When airflow is restricted, the motor labours harder and pulls current above the BMS protection limit. The BMS disconnects the cell to avoid cell damage, which shuts the vacuum off instantly. Clear any blockage in the nozzle or filter and run again — if the cutout stops, the restriction was the trigger, not a faulty cell.

The replacement battery fades noticeably after only a few months — is the dock causing this?

Continuous dock charging is the most common cause of early capacity fade on AEG cordless vacuums. The charger trickle-feeds the cell to keep it at 100%, which stresses lithium cells over time more than regular charge-discharge cycles do. Charge the battery to full, then remove the vacuum from the dock. Store it off-charge and return it to the dock only when the battery is depleted.
