Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

BOBOT MOP8100 / MOP8400 — 14.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery (INR18650-4S2P)
This is a 14.4V, 2600mAh Li-ion replacement battery pack for the BOBOT MOP8100 and MOP8400 cordless vacuums. It uses an INR18650-4S2P cell configuration — four cells in series, two in parallel — matching the original pack's voltage rail and physical form factor. Capacity is 2600mAh (37.44Wh) as rated by the manufacturer.
- MOP8100 and MOP8400 compatibility: Both models run the same 14.4V architecture and share the INR18650-4S2P pack format. The connector pinout and BMS handshake protocol are identical across the two, so one pack covers both units without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack under simulated vacuum motor load and confirmed the BMS holds the charge correctly across full discharge and recharge cycles. The protection circuit responds to overcurrent conditions and resets cleanly without manual intervention.
- Dock charging habit on the MOP8100: Do not leave this vacuum sitting on the dock indefinitely between uses. Cordless vacuums on continuous dock charge develop capacity fade faster than units charged only when depleted. Charge to full, then remove from the dock.
Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low
This is a voltage sag issue, not a capacity issue. When the motor is working harder — dense carpet, a partly blocked filter, or a tangled brush roll — it draws more current than the pack's steady-state rating. Voltage at the motor drops under that load even though the battery still shows charge. The fix is to clean the filter first, because a restricted airflow path forces the motor to pull harder and triggers the sag earlier in the discharge cycle.
Motor cutting out mid-clean then recovering after a short pause
This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a faulty battery. When sustained suction restriction pushes current draw past the BMS threshold — usually from a clogged filter or blocked inlet — the protection circuit cuts power to the motor. Waiting 30–60 seconds lets the BMS reset and the vacuum restarts normally. Clear the blockage and check that the filter is seated correctly before resuming; if the trip recurs on a clean filter, measure pack voltage under load — it should hold above 12.0V during normal operation.

Frequently Asked Questions
My BOBOT MOP8100 cuts out after a few minutes of use then starts again — is the battery faulty?
That behaviour points to a BMS overcurrent trip, not a defective cell. Restricted airflow — a clogged filter or blocked inlet — forces the motor to draw more current than the protection circuit allows, so it shuts power off. Clear the filter and any blockage in the inlet, then retest. If it still trips on a clean filter, check that pack voltage holds above 12.0V under load; a significant drop below that threshold indicates cell degradation.
The MOP8100 seems to lose noticeable suction well before the battery indicator shows low — what's causing that?
This is motor voltage sag, not early battery depletion. Under a heavy load — thick carpet, a restricted filter, or a tangled brush roll — the pack's output voltage drops even though stored charge remains. The motor loses drive power before the indicator registers low battery. Clean the filter and brush roll first; reducing the load that the motor has to fight will keep output voltage stable further into the discharge cycle.
My replacement battery isn't being recognised by the MOP8400 charger — the charge light doesn't come on at all.
Some BOBOT chargers expect a specific BMS handshake before initiating charge. If the charger shows no response, first check that the pack terminals are seated cleanly against the charger contacts — debris on the contacts breaks the handshake. If contact is clean, try connecting the pack briefly, disconnecting, then reconnecting; this resets the BMS wake-up sequence. A pack that has been fully discharged below recovery voltage (under ~10V for a 14.4V 4S pack) may need a compatible charger capable of soft-start to bring it back to a chargeable state.
