Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Dreame RLS5-BL1 / Bot L10 Series — 14.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery (P2008-4S2P-MMBK)
This is a 14.4V, 6800mAh Li-ion battery for the Dreame RLS5-BL1 cordless vacuum and the Bot D9 Max, Bot L10 Pro, and Bot L10 Ultra robot vacuum platforms. It replaces OEM part numbers P2008-4S2P-MMBK, P2026-4S1P-MMBK, P2150-4S2P-MMBK, P2150-4S2P-XWDLS, and R2228-4S2P-MMBK. Capacity is 6800mAh (97.92Wh) — matching the original specification exactly.
- RLS5-BL1 and Bot L10 series compatibility: These models share the same 14.4V cell architecture, connector pinout, and BMS communication protocol. A single battery pack spans the full range because the charger and motor controller expect the same voltage rail and handshake across all variants.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack through full charge and discharge cycles on the RLS5-BL1 platform. The BMS responded correctly to motor-start current spikes, held the cell voltage within spec under sustained suction load, and did not trigger false overcurrent cutoffs during normal carpet cleaning cycles.
- Dock charging practice for this vacuum: Do not leave the vacuum sitting on the charging dock continuously between uses. Dreame cordless vacuums on permanent dock charge trickle-charge the cells even when full, accelerating capacity fade. Charge to full, then remove from the dock until the next use.
Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low
This happens when cell voltage sags under load before the BMS triggers the low-battery warning. An aged or partially degraded battery pack loses internal resistance headroom — voltage dips sharply when the motor demands peak current, reducing suction force without the indicator catching it. A restricted or dirty filter compounds this: the motor works harder, draws more current, and the voltage sag deepens. Replacing the battery restores the full voltage headroom, and cleaning the filter ensures the motor draws current within the rated range.
Motor cuts out mid-clean and then recovers after a few seconds
This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a motor fault. When the filter is partially blocked or the brush roll is jammed, the motor pulls more current than the BMS threshold allows — the pack disconnects, the motor stops, and the BMS resets after a short thermal delay. The cycle then repeats. Check and clean the filter and brush roll first. If the cutout continues on a clear airway, the original battery's BMS trip threshold has degraded — the replacement pack restores the correct cutoff margin at the rated 14.4V operating voltage.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Dreame vacuum loses suction halfway through cleaning but the battery light still shows full — what's causing that?
This is voltage sag, not a dead cell. When the battery ages, internal resistance rises and cell voltage drops under motor load before the indicator registers it as low. A clogged filter makes it worse — the motor pulls harder, the voltage sags deeper, and suction falls off early. Replace the battery and clean the filter before the first run on the new pack.
The Dreame cuts out for a few seconds then restarts on its own — is the battery failing or is it something else?
That's the BMS tripping on overcurrent, then resetting. It usually means the filter is restricted enough that the motor is drawing above the BMS cutoff threshold — clear the filter and check the brush roll for hair wrap first. If the cutouts stop, the old battery's degraded BMS was tripping too early under normal load. If they continue on a clean airway with the replacement pack, check that cell voltage at startup reads above 14.0V under load.
The battery on my Dreame only lasted about a year before runtime dropped noticeably — did I do something wrong?
Continuous dock charging is the most common cause of early capacity fade on these vacuums. Leaving the unit on the dock permanently keeps the cells in a trickle-charge state, which degrades lithium-ion cells faster than normal use cycles. Charge the new pack to full, then remove it from the dock and only return it when the battery needs charging again. That single change significantly slows capacity loss over time.
