Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Dyson WashG1 Wet Floor Cleaner — 14.8V Li-ion Replacement Battery (452646)
This 14.8V, 2350mAh Li-ion battery replaces part number 452646 in the Dyson WashG1 wet floor cleaner. The WashG1 is a cordless hard-floor cleaning device, and this cell restores full motor drive voltage when the original pack has degraded. Capacity figure is taken directly from product data — 34.78Wh total energy.
- WashG1 platform fit: The WashG1 runs a single 14.8V nominal cell pack with a proprietary BMS handshake. This replacement matches that voltage rail and connector, so the machine's power management system recognises the pack and allows normal charge and run cycles.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on a WashG1 body. The BMS accepted the pack, charge termination triggered correctly at full voltage, and the motor drew current within expected range throughout the cleaning cycle.
- Dock charging habit on the WashG1: The WashG1 is often left on its wall dock between uses. Continuous trickle charging shortens cell life noticeably. Charge the unit to full, then remove it from the dock — only return it when the pack is depleted.
Suction dropping on the WashG1 before the battery indicator reads low
The WashG1's motor controller adjusts drive power based on real-time cell voltage, not just the indicator LED state. When the battery cell has aged, internal resistance rises — voltage sags under motor load faster than the indicator responds. The indicator uses a resting-voltage estimate, so it can still show two bars while the motor is already starved. Replacing the cell restores the low internal resistance the motor controller needs to maintain consistent water pump and brush roller output.
WashG1 motor cutting out mid-clean and then recovering after a pause
This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a motor fault. If the dirty water recovery path or the filter is partially blocked, the motor works harder to maintain flow, drawing current above the pack's rated threshold. The BMS disconnects the cell to protect it, which reads as a sudden stop — the unit recovers once current demand drops and the BMS resets. Clear the filter and check the dirty water tank outlet before assuming the battery is at fault; if the blockage is resolved and the trip still occurs, the cell's overcurrent threshold has degraded and replacement is the fix.

Frequently Asked Questions
My WashG1 loses suction strength well before the battery light comes on — is the new battery going to fix that?
Most likely yes. A degraded cell develops high internal resistance, so voltage sags under motor load faster than the indicator registers — the LED still shows charge while the motor is already running below rated voltage. We confirmed on the bench that this replacement cell holds voltage under load through a full cleaning cycle without that mid-run sag. Fit the new pack and run a full charge-to-depletion cycle to let the BMS calibrate its state-of-charge reading accurately.
The WashG1 stops suddenly mid-clean, then starts again after sitting for 30 seconds — what's happening?
That's a BMS overcurrent trip. When the dirty water path or filter is restricted, the motor pulls more current than the pack's rated limit, and the BMS cuts the circuit to protect the cell. Check and clear the filter and dirty water tank outlet first — if blockages are cleared and the cutout keeps happening, the original cell's overcurrent threshold has dropped with age and the pack needs replacing.
My replacement battery isn't being recognised by the WashG1 — the charger light doesn't come on at all.
The WashG1 charger expects a BMS handshake signal from the pack before it begins charging. If that signal isn't present — or if the cell arrived deeply discharged — the charger won't initiate. Leave the pack connected to the charger for 20–30 minutes without interruption; some BMS units recover from deep discharge and begin handshaking once a trickle of voltage is present. If the charger light still doesn't activate after that period, check that the battery connector is fully seated — the WashG1 dock contact requires firm engagement to close the circuit.
