Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Deerma DEM-P20 / DEM-P30 — 22.2V Li-ion Replacement Battery (DEM-VX95)
This is a 22.2V 4000mAh Li-ion battery pack for the Deerma DEM-P20 and DEM-P30 cordless stick vacuums. It replaces the original DEM-VX95 pack and restores full motor voltage to both models. Use it when the original cell no longer holds a working charge across a full clean cycle.
- DEM-P20 and DEM-P30 compatibility: Both models run the same 22.2V motor rail, share the DEM-VX95 connector and BMS handshake, and accept this pack without any modification to the vacuum body or charging port.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack through charge and discharge cycles on a DEM-P20 unit. The BMS held correct cell balancing across all six cells, and the charger handshake completed without error on first connection.
- Dock charging habit on this vacuum: Do not leave the DEM-P20 or DEM-P30 sitting on the charging dock continuously. These vacuums are not designed for permanent dock charging — trickle charge from the dock degrades cell capacity faster than normal cycle use. Charge to full, then remove the battery or vacuum from the dock.
Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low on the DEM-P20
This is one of the most common complaints on the DEM-P20 and it is almost never a battery failure at first. When the filter is partially blocked, the motor works harder to pull airflow and draws more current than rated. The BMS reads this overcurrent as a low-capacity state and begins throttling motor voltage — suction drops while the indicator still shows two or three bars. Clean or replace the filter, then retest. If suction stays strong through a full cycle after that, the battery is fine.
Motor cuts out mid-use and then restarts after a short pause
This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead cell. On the DEM-P20, sustained restricted airflow — caused by a blocked nozzle, full dust cup, or clogged filter — forces the motor into a high-draw state the BMS is programmed to interrupt. The pack shuts output, waits for the protection circuit to reset, then allows the motor to restart. The fix is clearing the restriction before the next run. If cut-outs continue on a clean, unblocked vacuum, check pack voltage under load — it should not drop below 18V at peak motor draw.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Deerma DEM-P20 loses suction halfway through vacuuming even though the battery light still shows full — is the new battery faulty?
Not likely. When airflow is restricted by a dirty filter or full dust cup, the motor pulls more current than normal, and the BMS throttles output voltage to protect the cells — suction drops even though the indicator still reads high. Clear the filter and dust cup completely, then run again. If suction holds across the full cycle after that, the battery is working correctly.
The DEM-P20 motor cuts out for a few seconds and then kicks back in — what is causing that?
That is the BMS tripping on sustained overcurrent draw. It happens when the nozzle or filter is restricted and the motor is working against blocked airflow for more than a few seconds. The protection circuit interrupts output, resets, then allows restart. Check and clear every restriction point — nozzle, brush head, filter, and dust cup — before the next use. If cut-outs continue on a fully cleared vacuum, measure pack voltage under load; it should hold above 18V.
Will leaving my DEM-P20 on the charging dock all the time damage this replacement battery faster than the original?
Yes. The DEM-P20 dock does not cut trickle charge once the pack is full, so continuous docking keeps a low-level charge current running through the cells. Over weeks this causes capacity fade that accelerates beyond normal cycle wear. Charge the pack to full, then remove the vacuum or battery from the dock. Store it off the charger until the next use.
