Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Gorenje SVC144FW / SVC144FBK Series — 14.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery (577276)
This is a 14.4V, 2000mAh (28.8Wh) lithium-ion battery for the Gorenje SVC144FW, SVC144FBK, VC2930, and VC2932-GS cordless stick vacuums. It replaces OEM part numbers 577276, 574791, and 728267. If suction has weakened or the original cell no longer holds a charge, this swap restores full motor voltage to the vacuum.
- SVC144FW and VC2930 series compatibility: All four models in this fit list share the same 14.4V battery rail, connector footprint, and BMS handshake protocol. The pack slots directly into any of them without modification to the battery bay or charge circuit.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on the SVC144FW platform. The BMS held the correct cutoff voltage under simulated motor load and the charge circuit accepted the pack without error flags.
- Dock charging behaviour on stick vacuums: Do not leave the vacuum sitting on the charging dock permanently. Cordless stick vacuums on continuous dock power develop capacity fade faster than those charged only when the cell is depleted. Charge to full, then remove the vacuum from the dock.
Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low
The motor in the SVC144FW draws significantly more current when airflow is restricted — a partially blocked filter or clogged brush roll forces the motor to work harder, pulling the cell voltage down faster than normal. The battery indicator reads remaining charge, not motor load, so the display can still show mid-range while suction has already fallen off. The BMS sees the voltage sag and begins throttling output to protect the cell. Clean or replace the filter first — if suction recovers and holds, the battery is not the cause.
Motor cuts out during use and then comes back after a short pause
This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead battery. When suction is sustained against a blockage or heavy carpet pile, current draw spikes above the BMS threshold and the pack disconnects the output rail to protect the cells. After 20–30 seconds the BMS resets and allows the motor to restart. Check the filter and brush roll for blockages before replacing the battery — if the cutout stops once airflow is clear, the pack is functioning as intended. If trips continue on a clean machine, measure pack voltage at rest; below 12V under no load points to cell degradation.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Gorenje SVC144FW battery fades much faster after a few months — is the new cell going to do the same thing?
Fast capacity fade in cordless stick vacuums almost always traces back to continuous dock charging — leaving the vacuum on the dock when not in use trickle-charges the lithium cells and degrades them. Charge this replacement fully, then remove the vacuum from the dock and only return it when the cell is genuinely low. That single change extends usable capacity significantly. If the vacuum stays off the dock between uses and fade still appears within a few months, check whether the filter is clean — a restricted filter makes the motor draw more current and stresses the pack harder on every run.
The vacuum cuts out mid-clean and restarts itself after I wait — will a new battery fix this?
That cutout-and-restart pattern is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a failing cell. The BMS disconnects output when current spikes past its threshold — typically caused by a partially blocked filter or brush roll forcing the motor to draw harder than rated. Clear the filter and check the brush roll for hair or debris first. If the trips stop on a clean machine, the existing battery may still be serviceable; if the vacuum is tripping on a clear airway and the pack rests below 12V when idle, the cells have degraded and replacement is warranted.
The replacement battery fits physically but the vacuum won't charge — what's wrong?
Some Gorenje chargers verify a BMS handshake before starting the charge cycle — if the charger sees an unexpected response from the pack, it holds back current and the indicator never moves. Confirm the OEM part number on the original battery matches 577276, 574791, or 728267 before concluding the replacement is faulty. Try a full power cycle: remove the pack, leave it out for 60 seconds, reseat it firmly, then connect the charger. If the charger still shows no activity after five minutes, measure the pack terminals with a multimeter — a reading below 10V means the cells have deep-discharged and the BMS may need a recovery charge from a compatible lithium charger before the dock circuit will accept it.
