ICLEBO Free / Plus / Pro Series — 14.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery (YBR-B02-1)

This is a 14.4V 5200mAh (74.88Wh) lithium-ion battery for the ICLEBO Free, Plus, Pro, and Robot Pro YCR-M04-02-R robotic vacuum cleaners. It replaces OEM part numbers YBR-B02-1 and YCR-B01-3. Fit the replacement when the original cell no longer holds sufficient charge to complete a full cleaning cycle.

• Free, Plus, Pro and Robot Pro compatibility: These models share the same 14.4V battery bay, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol — one cell fits all. The vacuum's onboard controller reads charge state and thermal data over the same communication line across the entire range.
• Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through full charge and discharge cycles on the ICLEBO platform. The BMS negotiated correctly with the dock charger, thermal cutoff triggered at the expected threshold, and the cell hit rated capacity within the first three cycles.
• Dock charging behaviour on this platform: The ICLEBO series returns to dock automatically after every run. Left on continuous dock charge indefinitely, lithium cells in this voltage class develop measurable capacity fade within weeks. Charge to full, then remove the vacuum from the dock until the next scheduled clean.

Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low

The ICLEBO's motor draws significantly more current when airflow is restricted — a partially blocked filter or full dustbin forces the motor to work harder at the same RPM. That elevated current draw causes voltage to sag earlier than the state-of-charge indicator expects, so the vacuum loses suction while the display still shows two or three bars. This is not a faulty cell. Clear the filter, empty the dustbin, and retest. If suction recovers and runtime extends, the battery is performing correctly.

Motor cutting out mid-run and recovering after a short pause

This is a BMS overcurrent trip. When sustained suction restriction forces continuous high-draw operation, the battery management system cuts output to protect the cell, then resets after the thermal load drops. The vacuum appears to restart on its own, which many users mistake for a flat battery. Check the filter first — if it's clogged, the motor never stops pulling excess current and trips will repeat. Clean the filter and verify the cell voltage reads above 13.0V at rest before ruling the battery out.
