Fits Philips CRP777 cordless vacuum cleaners, replaces OEM part number CRP777 across multiple model generations.
14.4V and 6800mAh capacity deliver sustained power to the handheld motor during floor, carpet, and upholstery cleaning cycles.
Connector clips into the vacuum's battery slot with a positive locking tab — ensure the tab seats fully before operation.
We bench-tested the BMS on a dock charger and confirmed normal voltage ramp with no early cutoff or fault codes.
Do not leave this vacuum on the charging dock continuously when full — trickle charge cycles degrade capacity faster than removal after reaching full charge.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Philips CRP777 Series — 14.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery (CRP777)

This is a 14.4V 6800mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the Philips CRP777 cordless vacuum cleaner. It fits the CRP777, CRP777/01, CRP781, and FC9910/01/A among other models in the range. Swap it when the original cell no longer holds charge or the vacuum shuts down mid-clean.

  • CRP777 and FC9910 series compatibility: These models share the same 14.4V battery rail, connector geometry, and BMS handshake protocol. A single cell covers the full group — no wiring modification needed.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge, discharge, and load cycles on a CRP777 unit. The BMS handled motor-start current draw without tripping and maintained stable voltage output across a full discharge cycle.
  • Dock charging habit for this vacuum: Do not leave the CRP777 sitting on the charging dock between uses. Continuous trickle charging degrades Li-ion cells faster than intermittent full-charge cycles. Charge to full, then remove from the dock until the next session.

Cordless vacuum losing suction before the battery indicator reaches low

This happens when the motor draws more current than the BMS expects — usually caused by a partially blocked filter, not a failing battery. Restricted airflow forces the motor to work harder, pulling higher current and causing voltage to sag earlier in the discharge cycle. The battery still has charge remaining, but the sag triggers the vacuum's low-power response. Clean or replace the filter first before assuming the battery is at fault.

Motor cuts out briefly then recovers during sustained use

This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a motor fault. When suction is restricted — blocked filter, clogged brush roll, or sustained heavy-carpet use — the motor draws a sustained spike above the BMS threshold and the cell temporarily cuts output. The recovery happens in seconds once current demand drops. Clear the blockage and check filter condition. If cut-outs continue on a clean filter, verify the replacement cell voltage reads at least 14.4V at rest before use.

Frequently Asked Questions

The vacuum runs for a short time and then the suction drops noticeably — is this the battery?

Not always. A partially blocked filter forces the motor to draw more current than rated, which causes voltage to sag early in the discharge cycle — the battery still has capacity but the motor is working too hard. Clean or replace the filter before swapping the battery. If suction stays consistent after a filter clean, the cell is likely fine.

My CRP777 motor cuts out for a few seconds and then comes back on by itself — what causes that?

That's the BMS tripping on an overcurrent spike, typically from restricted airflow through a clogged filter or brush roll. The BMS cuts output to protect the cell, then resets once current demand drops. Clear the brush roll and clean the filter. If cut-outs continue on a clear filter, check that the battery reads at least 14.4V at rest before each use.

The original battery faded after about a year — will leaving the replacement on the dock do the same thing?

Yes. Continuous dock charging keeps the cell in a trickle-charge state, and Li-ion chemistry degrades faster under constant low-level charge than it does through normal full-cycle use. Charge the replacement to full and remove it from the dock until the next clean. That single habit extends usable capacity over the cell's life significantly.
