Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

ORCA 300 Cordless Vacuum — 25.9V Li-ion Replacement Battery (CF300AKU)
This 25.9V lithium-ion battery pack replaces the original cell in the ORCA 300 cordless stick vacuum. It carries 7800mAh capacity and matches the OEM voltage rail and BMS handshake the 300's charging circuit expects. Fits the ORCA 300 series using OEM references CF300AKU and OC30CL-24.
- ORCA 300 platform fit: The 300 series runs a 25.9V rail — six lithium cells in series. Any replacement must hold that nominal voltage and present the correct BMS communication to the charger. This pack matches both, so the charger completes its handshake and charges normally rather than cutting off early.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through full discharge and recharge on the ORCA 300 platform. The BMS handled motor-start inrush without tripping, held voltage steady through mid-cycle, and accepted the charger handshake cleanly on every test cycle.
- Dock charging habit on the ORCA 300: Remove the vacuum from the charging dock once the indicator shows full. The ORCA 300 dock does not cut trickle current aggressively — leaving it connected overnight repeatedly compresses cell capacity faster than normal cycling would.
Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low
This happens when the motor draws more current than the BMS expects — usually because a partially blocked filter is forcing the motor to work harder. Increased motor load pulls the pack voltage down faster than normal, and the BMS reads that sag as a low-battery condition before the cells are actually depleted. Clean or replace the filter first. If suction stabilises across a full charge cycle after that, the battery was not the problem.
Motor cutting out mid-clean and then recovering after a few seconds
This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead battery. When the vacuum sustains a blocked airpath — carpet fibres packed against the filter, or a partial blockage in the head — the motor draws a spike of current the BMS flags as unsafe and briefly disconnects the cell. Power recovers once the BMS resets, usually within three to five seconds. Clear the blockage and check the filter before assuming the pack is faulty. If trips persist on a clean, unblocked vacuum, verify pack voltage at the terminals reads above 22V before charging.

Frequently Asked Questions
My ORCA 300 loses suction halfway through a clean but the battery indicator still shows plenty of charge — what's happening?
A partially blocked filter forces the motor to draw more current than rated, pulling pack voltage down faster than normal — the BMS interprets that voltage sag as low battery before the cells are genuinely depleted. Clean or replace the HEPA filter and empty the dust cup fully, then run another cycle. If suction holds steady after that, the issue was airflow restriction, not battery capacity.
The ORCA 300 motor cuts out for a few seconds during cleaning and then comes back on by itself — is this the battery failing?
That's a BMS overcurrent trip, not cell failure. Sustained restricted suction — packed carpet fibres or a blocked brush head — spikes motor current above the BMS threshold, which briefly disconnects the pack as a protection measure. Power returns once the BMS resets after a few seconds. Clear any blockage, check the filter, and run the vacuum again. If it trips repeatedly on a clean, unobstructed head, measure pack voltage at the terminals — it should read at least 22V on a charged cell.
My ORCA 300 battery doesn't seem to last as long as it used to even though I charge it every night on the dock — why has it faded?
Continuous dock charging is the most common cause of capacity fade in cordless vacuums. The ORCA 300's charger does not cut trickle current sharply once full, so cells sitting on the dock overnight absorb low-level current that gradually compresses their usable capacity. Charge the pack to full, then remove it from the dock and store the vacuum off the charger. Following that habit from the first cycle on this replacement pack will slow capacity fade considerably.
