Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

iHome iHRV2 / Eclipse AutoVac / iHRV4-GRY — 14.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery
This is a 14.4V 3400mAh (48.96Wh) lithium-ion battery for the iHome iHRV2, Eclipse AutoVac, and iHRV4-GRY cordless handheld vacuums. All three models share the same 14.4V cell architecture and connector format, so one replacement covers the full range. When the original battery no longer holds a charge, suction power drops off early — this cell restores full motor voltage from the first run.
- iHRV2, Eclipse AutoVac, iHRV4-GRY compatibility: These models run the same 14.4V motor rail and use identical battery housings with the same BMS handshake protocol. A single cell fits all three without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this battery through discharge under a restricted-filter load condition to verify BMS response. The protection circuit held steady at rated voltage without tripping during sustained high-draw pulls.
- Dock charging on cordless vacuums: Do not leave this vacuum permanently on the charging dock. Continuous trickle charging accelerates capacity fade on Li-ion cells faster than periodic charge cycles. Charge to full, then remove the unit from the dock until the next use.
Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low
The iHRV2 motor draws significantly more current when the filter is partially blocked — this pushes the cell voltage down faster than the indicator circuit expects, so suction fades while the indicator still shows charge remaining. This is voltage sag under load, not a faulty battery. A clean filter returns the motor to its rated current draw and keeps cell voltage stable across the full discharge curve. Check and clean the filter before assuming the battery has failed.
Motor cutting out mid-clean and recovering after a pause
This is a BMS overcurrent trip. When sustained suction is restricted — usually a blocked filter or a clogged nozzle — the motor draws beyond the cell's rated discharge threshold, and the BMS cuts power to protect the cells. After a short pause, the BMS resets and the motor restarts. The fix is not a new battery. Clear the blockage, clean the filter, and confirm the nozzle path is unobstructed before running the vacuum again. If the trip repeats on a clear filter, check that the replacement cell's BMS threshold matches the motor's rated draw at 14.4V.

Frequently Asked Questions
My iHRV2 suction feels weak right after a full charge — is this a battery problem or something else?
Weak suction immediately after a full charge almost always points to a restricted airflow path, not the battery. A partially blocked filter forces the motor to pull more current than rated, which causes voltage sag that reads as low power output. Pull the filter out, clean it thoroughly, and run the vacuum again. If suction returns to normal, the battery was never the issue.
My iHome cordless vacuum loses noticeably more charge each month even though I barely use it — what causes that?
Leaving the vacuum on the charging dock continuously is the most common cause. Li-ion cells that sit at full charge under a trickle current degrade faster than cells that are charged only when depleted. Remove the vacuum from the dock once charging is complete and store it off the charger. Switching to charge-when-needed cycles will significantly slow capacity fade going forward.
The replacement battery is installed but the iHRV2 won't charge — the charger light just stays solid green with no indication it's actually charging.
A solid green light with no charging activity usually means the charger completed its handshake but found the battery already at or near its target voltage, or the BMS on the replacement cell is not responding to the charger's initialisation signal. Try a full discharge — run the vacuum until it shuts off automatically — then reconnect the charger and wait at least 30 minutes. If the charge light still does not cycle through its normal charge sequence, verify the charger output is delivering 16.8V, which is the standard full-charge voltage for a 14.4V Li-ion pack.
