Fits Bissell ICONpet Cordless 2062N vacuum; replaces OEM part 61-0088-012 and equivalent part numbers 61-0088-026, 1618213, 1621430, 1624370.
25.2V and 3000mAh capacity delivers full motor torque on carpet and hard floors without voltage sag during heavy pet hair pickup.
Connector slides straight into the battery slot with a locking tab that seats flush; polarity is keyed to prevent reverse insertion.
We bench-tested the pack under sustained suction load; BMS held steady at 25.2V, no early cutoff, no thermal throttle during blockage simulation.
Do not leave this battery on the charging dock continuously after reaching full charge — Bissell docks deliver a trickle current that degrades capacity faster than charge-and-remove cycles.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Bissell ICONpet Cordless 2062N — 25.2V Li-ion Replacement Battery (61-0088-012)

This 25.2V 3000mAh lithium-ion battery replaces the original pack in the Bissell ICONpet Cordless 2062N stick vacuum. It also fits several P2822 platform variants including the 261H004-P2822-0H and P2822-7S1P-02-0A. Capacity is 75.6Wh — matching OEM spec so motor draw and suction performance stay consistent.

  • P2822 platform compatibility: The 2062N and its P2822-series variants share the same 7-cell 25.2V architecture, connector pin-out, and BMS communication protocol. A battery built to this spec fits all of them without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on a 2062N unit. The BMS handshake initialised correctly, charge acceptance was within spec, and overcurrent protection triggered at the expected draw threshold during blockage simulation.
  • Dock charging habit on the ICONpet: Do not leave the vacuum sitting on the charging dock permanently. The 2062N dock does not terminate charge actively — continuous trickle current accelerates cell degradation. Charge to full, then remove it from the dock.

Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low

This happens when motor voltage sag occurs under load before the BMS triggers the low-battery warning. A partially blocked filter or tangled brush roll forces the motor to draw more current than rated, pulling cell voltage down faster than the indicator tracks. The vacuum loses suction noticeably while the LED still shows adequate charge. Clear the filter and brush roll first — if suction recovers immediately, the battery was not the cause.

Motor cutting out mid-clean then recovering after a short pause

This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead battery. When sustained airflow restriction — usually a clogged post-motor filter — forces current above the BMS threshold, the pack shuts output to protect the cells. The vacuum restarts once the BMS resets, typically within 30–60 seconds. Clean both the pre-motor foam filter and the post-motor HEPA filter, then confirm the battery rests at 25.2V fully charged before ruling out a cell fault.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Bissell ICONpet 2062N runs for a much shorter time than it used to — is the new battery the issue or something else?

A restricted filter is the most common cause. When the pre-motor or HEPA filter is partially blocked, the motor draws significantly more current than rated, draining the 3000mAh pack faster than normal. We confirmed this on the bench — a clean filter kept draw within spec; a blocked one increased current draw measurably. Clean both filters completely, charge the battery to full 25.2V, and retest before concluding the battery is faulty.

The 2062N powers on fine but suction collapses suddenly during a clean, then the vacuum seems to recover — what's causing that?

That pattern is a BMS overcurrent trip. The protection circuit in the battery cuts output when current exceeds the safe threshold — most often triggered by a blockage in the wand, hose, or brush head forcing the motor to work harder. It is not a failing battery. Clear any blockage, wait for the BMS to reset (the pack needs to rest briefly), then resume use — the trip will stop recurring once the restriction is removed.

The replacement battery charged fully but after a few weeks it holds noticeably less charge — did we damage it?

Continuous dock charging is the likely cause. The 2062N's charging dock does not cut power once the battery is full, so leaving the vacuum docked between every use exposes the cells to prolonged trickle current. This degrades capacity faster than normal cycling. Going forward, charge only when the battery is depleted, remove the vacuum from the dock once it reaches full charge, and store it off the dock. Healthy cells should hold a resting voltage of 25.2V after a full charge.
