Fits Okami U100, U100 Plus, and U80 Pet cordless vacuums with 14.4V lithium-ion chemistry.
14.4V and 3400mAh capacity deliver 48.96Wh to sustain motor power through full cleaning cycles on hard floors and carpet.
Connector slides into the vertical charging dock with a single locking tab—verify the tab seats fully before releasing.
We bench-tested this cell on the U100 motor load; the BMS delivered stable 14.4V under sustained suction draw with no early cutoff.
Do not leave the vacuum on the charging dock permanently—continuous dock charge degrades capacity significantly faster, so charge to full and remove when done.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Okami U100 / U80 Pet — 14.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This is a 14.4V 3400mAh Li-ion battery pack for the Okami U100, U100 Plus, and U80 Pet cordless stick vacuums. It replaces the original pack when capacity fades and the vacuum no longer holds a useful charge. Capacity is rated at 48.96Wh.

  • U100, U100 Plus, and U80 Pet fit: All three models share the same 14.4V platform, battery bay dimensions, and connector format. The BMS communication protocol is consistent across this range, so one pack covers all three without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack through charge and discharge cycles on the U100 platform. The BMS handled motor start current without tripping, and cell voltage held within expected range under continuous suction load across multiple cycles.
  • Dock charging habit on the U100: Do not leave the vacuum sitting on the charging dock between uses. Continuous dock charging applies a low-level trickle that accelerates capacity fade in Li-ion cells. Charge to full, remove the vacuum from the dock, and return it only when the pack is depleted.

Cordless vacuum losing suction before the battery indicator reaches low

This happens when the motor draws more current than the battery can sustain at the current state of charge. A partially blocked filter forces the motor to work harder, pulling amps above the BMS's sustained-load threshold. The BMS responds by reducing output to protect the cells, which the vacuum presents as weak suction rather than a low-battery warning. Clear the filter and check for blockages at the brush head before assuming the battery is the cause.

Motor cuts out mid-use then restarts after a few seconds

This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a flat battery. When suction is restricted — blocked filter, clogged hose, or a jammed brush roll — the motor current spikes sharply. The BMS cuts power to prevent cell damage, then resets once current drops. The few-second recovery is the BMS re-enabling the output after the fault clears. Clean the filter and brush roll, then confirm the pack voltage reads at least 14.0V on a multimeter before continuing use.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Okami U100 runs fine for a short burst then the motor cuts out and comes back — is this the battery or something else?

That cut-and-recover pattern is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a failing cell. When airflow is restricted, the motor pulls well above its rated current and the BMS shuts output to protect the pack. Check the filter and brush roll first — a blocked filter is the most common trigger. If the motor still trips after clearing the blockage, measure pack voltage mid-cycle; a healthy pack should hold above 13.8V under load.

The suction on my U100 drops noticeably before the battery indicator shows low — why?

Voltage sag under load is the cause. As the pack discharges, internal resistance rises and the cells can't maintain the voltage the motor needs at full draw — suction weakens before the indicator logic registers a low state. A clogged filter makes this worse by forcing the motor to draw more current, amplifying the sag. Clean the filter thoroughly and check for partial blockages at the brush head; if sag persists with a clear airflow path, the pack cells have degraded and the battery needs replacing.

I replaced the battery in my U100 but the charger light just flashes and won't begin a full charge — what's happening?

Some chargers in this range check for a BMS handshake signal before committing to a charge cycle. If the replacement pack's BMS doesn't respond within the expected window — common when the pack has been stored discharged — the charger stalls at the handshake stage. Disconnect the pack, wait 60 seconds, then reconnect and allow up to two minutes for the BMS to initialise before the charger transitions to bulk charge. If the charger still won't progress, verify the pack voltage is above 10V with a multimeter; a pack that has dropped below the BMS recovery threshold requires a low-current pre-charge to wake the cells.
