Fits Kärcher VC4H-525 handheld vacuum; replaces OEM battery pack 9.765-715.0.
18.5V and 2400mAh capacity sustain motor torque across carpet and hard floors without midcycle voltage sag.
Connector slides straight into the dock receptacle with a single locking tab on the right side.
We bench-tested this cell against the OEM pack; BMS accepted full charge in 90 minutes with no fault codes.
Do not leave the vacuum on the charging dock permanently — cordless vacuums on continuous dock charge develop capacity fade significantly faster than those charged only when depleted.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Karcher VC4H-525 — 18.5V Li-ion Replacement Battery (9.765-715.0)

This 18.5V 2400mAh Li-ion battery replaces the original pack in the Karcher VC4H-525 handheld cordless vacuum cleaner. It matches the OEM part number 9.765-715.0 and slots into the same battery housing. Voltage and BMS configuration align with the VC4H-525 motor controller.

  • VC4H-525 compatibility: The VC4H-525 uses an 18.5V nominal rail with a BMS that monitors cell temperature and current draw during motor spin-up. A cell pack that deviates from this voltage or lacks the correct protection circuit will either fail to communicate with the charger or trip during high-suction operation.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge cycles and monitored the BMS response during sustained motor load. The protection circuit handled the current spike at startup without tripping and accepted a full charge cycle without thermal flagging.
  • Dock charging on the VC4H-525: Do not leave this vacuum on the charging dock permanently. Cordless vacuums on continuous dock charge develop capacity fade faster than those charged only when depleted. Charge to full, then remove from the dock.

Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low

This is a voltage sag issue, not a capacity issue. When the filter is partially blocked, the motor draws more current than its rated load, pulling the cell voltage down faster than the indicator circuit can respond. The indicator reads state of charge, not real-time voltage under load. Clean or replace the filter first — if suction recovers, the battery is not the cause.

Motor cutting out mid-use then restarting after a pause

This pattern points to a BMS overcurrent trip, not a depleted cell. When airflow is restricted — blocked filter, clogged nozzle, or hair wrap on the brush — the motor labours and draws a sustained current spike above the BMS threshold. The BMS cuts power to protect the cells, then resets once current drops. Clear the restriction, confirm airflow is unobstructed, and restart. If the fault repeats with a clean filter, check that the cell voltage sits above 15.0V before charging.

Frequently Asked Questions

My VC4H-525 loses suction halfway through a clean but the battery light still shows full — is the battery failing?

Not necessarily. A partially blocked filter forces the motor to work harder, drawing more current than rated and dragging cell voltage down under load — even when the indicator still reads high. The indicator measures resting charge, not real-time load voltage. Clean the filter thoroughly and test again before replacing the battery.

The vacuum cuts out after a minute of use, I wait a few seconds and it works again — what's happening?

That restart behaviour is a BMS overcurrent trip. The battery protection circuit shuts off current when the motor draws too hard for too long — usually caused by a blocked nozzle, hair-wrapped brush bar, or clogged filter restricting airflow. Clear the blockage completely, then restart. If it still trips on a clean, unobstructed machine, confirm the pack voltage reads above 15.0V with a multimeter before putting it back on charge.

My replacement 9.765-715.0 battery sits on the charger for hours but never shows a full charge — what's wrong?

Some Karcher chargers handshake with the BMS before initiating a charge cycle. If the replacement pack arrives deeply discharged, the charger may not recognise it and will not begin charging. Remove the battery, wait 30 seconds, and reinsert it — this resets the handshake attempt. If the charger still does not respond, check that the contact pins on both the battery and dock are clean and making firm contact.
