Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Lenovo E1-L / D450 Cordless Vacuum — 14.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery
This 14.4V 3350mAh lithium-ion battery fits the Lenovo E1-L and D450 cordless stick vacuums. It replaces the original cell pack when capacity has dropped and suction noticeably weakens before the indicator reaches low. Capacity figure is taken from the product data: 3350mAh (48.24Wh).
- E1-L and D450 compatibility: Both models run the same 14.4V architecture and share an identical battery form factor and connector, so one cell pack covers either unit without any modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran discharge cycles through simulated motor-load conditions and confirmed the BMS holds the voltage rail steady under the sustained draw of carpet cleaning mode, stepping down cleanly at low-cell cutoff rather than dropping suddenly.
- Dock charging behaviour: Do not leave the vacuum sitting on the charging dock permanently. Continuous trickle charge accelerates capacity fade in Li-ion cells faster than normal cycle use. Charge to full, then remove from the dock.
Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low
This is a voltage-sag issue, not a dead battery. When the motor draws sustained current against a partially blocked filter, cell voltage dips under load even though resting voltage reads normal. The BMS reads that sag as approaching cutoff and reduces power to the motor before the indicator catches up. Clean the filter first — if suction recovers and holds, the battery is likely fine. If sag continues on a clean filter, the original cell pack has lost enough capacity that resting voltage no longer reflects true load capacity.
Motor cuts out mid-clean and then recovers after a few seconds
This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a wiring fault. Restricted airflow — blocked filter or brush roll jam — forces the motor to draw more current than the BMS allows on a sustained basis. The BMS cuts power to protect the cells, then resets after a brief thermal cooldown. Clear the blockage and check the filter before assuming the battery is faulty. If the cutout repeats on a clear filter with a new battery, measure resting voltage after a full charge — it should read between 16.0V and 16.8V on a healthy pack.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Lenovo E1-L suction feels weak straight after charging — is the new battery already failing?
Weak suction immediately after a full charge almost always points to a restricted filter, not the battery. A blocked filter makes the motor work harder, pulling more current than the BMS expects and causing voltage to sag under load even on a fresh charge. Clean the filter and check the brush roll for hair wrap, then retest. If suction is still weak with a clear filter, charge to full and confirm resting pack voltage sits between 16.0V and 16.8V before suspecting the cell.
The D450 battery faded noticeably after only a few months — what caused it so quickly?
Continuous dock charging is the most common cause of early capacity fade in these vacuums. Li-ion cells kept at 100% charge under trickle current degrade faster than cells that are charged, used, and allowed to discharge before the next charge. If the vacuum lived on the dock between every use, the original pack may have lost 15–20% capacity within months. With the replacement battery, charge fully, remove from the dock, and only return it when the charge is genuinely low.
The Lenovo E1-L won't turn on after fitting the replacement battery — what should I check first?
Some chargers expect a specific BMS handshake before they will pass current to the battery, which means the pack may arrive with a low resting voltage that the device reads as a fault. Place the battery on charge for at least 30 minutes before attempting to power the vacuum on. If the charger light does not activate, check that the battery contacts are fully seated and free of debris. After a 30-minute charge, resting voltage on the pack should read at least 14.0V — if it does not climb above that after an hour, the charger-to-BMS handshake is not completing and the charger itself should be checked.
