Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Medea G6 Pro / X10 Plus / G7 Series — 22.2V Li-ion Replacement Battery (BP22240B)
This 22.2V, 4000mAh (88.8Wh) lithium-ion battery replaces part number BP22240B in the Midea G6 Pro, X10 Plus, G7, and G6 TPro cordless stick vacuums. It slots into the same battery bay as the original and connects to the same BMS handshake required by the vacuum's motor controller. Use the capacity figure from the product data — 4000mAh — as the reference for this cell.
- G6 Pro, X10 Plus, G7, G6 TPro compatibility: These models share the same 22.2V battery platform, connector pinout, and BMS communication protocol. Swapping between them works because the motor controller on each reads the same cell voltage range and uses the same charge termination signal.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through full discharge cycles on a G6 Pro unit. The BMS tripped correctly at low-cell threshold, balanced across all six cells, and accepted charge from the standard Midea dock without error codes or interrupted charge cycles.
- Dock charging habit for this vacuum: Do not leave the G6 Pro on the charging dock permanently. Cordless stick vacuums with continuous dock contact trickle-charge between cycles, and this accelerates capacity fade in Li-ion cells faster than any other use pattern. Charge to full, then remove from the dock.
Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low
This happens when the motor draws higher current than rated — usually because the filter is partially blocked. A restricted filter forces the motor to work harder, pulling more amps from the battery than the BMS expects under normal load. The BMS responds by reducing power delivery to protect the cells, which shows up as suction loss while the indicator still reads mid-range. Clean or replace the filter first, then retest — if suction holds steady, the battery was not the fault.
Motor cuts out mid-clean then recovers after a few seconds
This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead battery. When sustained suction restriction — a blockage in the brush head, hose, or a clogged filter — forces the motor to spike above the cell's continuous current limit, the BMS cuts output to prevent cell damage. It resets automatically once the draw drops. Clear any blockage, check the filter, and restart. If it trips again on a clear machine, verify cell voltage at the battery terminals — it should read between 21V and 24.6V at rest.

Frequently Asked Questions
My G6 Pro battery fades fast after a few months — is this a bad cell or something I'm doing wrong?
Continuous dock charging is the most common cause. When the vacuum sits on the dock full-time, the charger trickle-charges the cells repeatedly between uses, which degrades Li-ion capacity faster than normal cycling. Charge only when the battery is depleted, then remove the vacuum from the dock once it reaches full. If capacity is already low, run two or three full discharge-and-charge cycles to let the BMS recalibrate its capacity estimate.
The vacuum loses suction well before the battery light comes on — why does this happen?
A partially blocked filter is the usual cause, not a failing battery. When airflow is restricted, the motor draws more current than rated, and the BMS throttles power output to stay within the cell's safe current limits — this reads as suction loss even though the battery indicator still shows charge remaining. Remove and clean the filter, then run the vacuum again. If suction holds consistently after that, the battery is fine.
The replacement battery isn't charging on the dock — the dock light stays off or flashes an error.
The G6 Pro charger expects a specific BMS handshake before it opens the charge circuit. If the dock shows no response, the first step is to seat the battery firmly — a loose connection breaks the communication line between the BMS and the charger. If it still won't charge, try a 30-second press-and-hold of the power button with the battery installed to wake the BMS from a deep-discharge sleep state. After that, reattach to the dock and check for a steady charge indicator within 60 seconds.
