Fits Mint 4200, 4205, Automatic Floor Cleaner 4000, and Plus 5000 models; replaces OEM part GPHC152M07.
7.2V and 1500mAh capacity sustains autonomous floor navigation and motor performance on hard-floor cleaning cycles.
Connector slides into dock port with positive contact alignment; locking tab seats flush against housing.
We bench-tested this Ni-MH cell on a 4200 unit; BMS accepted charge without fault and held voltage stable under sustained motor draw.
Do not leave this battery on the charging dock when full — continuous trickle charge degrades Ni-MH capacity faster than charge-and-remove cycles.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Mint 4200 / 4205 Series — 7.2V Ni-MH Replacement Battery (GPHC152M07)

This 7.2V, 1500mAh Ni-MH battery replaces the GPHC152M07 cell in Mint robotic floor cleaners. It fits the 4200, 4205, Automatic Floor Cleaner 4000, and Plus 5000 models. Swap it in when the original cell no longer holds enough charge to complete a full cleaning cycle.

  • 4200 / 4205 / 4000 / Plus 5000 platform fit: These models share the same 7.2V battery bay, connector pinout, and BMS handshake requirements — one cell covers the full range without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through the Mint 4200 charge cycle and confirmed the BMS accepted the replacement without fault codes or interrupted charging. Discharge curves stayed within spec across multiple cycles.
  • Dock charging discipline for Ni-MH cells: Do not leave the Mint on the charging dock continuously. Ni-MH chemistry is particularly vulnerable to trickle-charge degradation — charge to full, then remove the unit from the dock until the next use.

Battery fade from leaving the Mint on the dock permanently

Ni-MH cells degrade faster under continuous low-level charge than Li-ion does. The Mint's dock applies a trickle current once the cell is full, and sustained exposure to that current accelerates capacity fade. After several months of dock-sitting, cells that should hold 1500mAh may deliver significantly less. Charge the unit, remove it from the dock, and store it off the charger between sessions.

Mint stops mid-clean but powers back on after a short pause

This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead battery. It happens when the motor draws more than the BMS threshold — typically caused by a restricted air path, not a failing cell. Check and clean the filter before assuming the battery is at fault. If a clean filter doesn't stop the cutouts, measure resting voltage after a full charge — it should read at least 8.4V to 8.5V. Anything below 7.8V at rest points to a degraded cell needing replacement.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Mint 4200 runs for a while then suddenly stops, waits a few minutes, and starts again — is the battery dying?

That stop-and-restart pattern is a BMS overcurrent trip, not always a dead cell. When the filter is dirty or airflow is restricted, the motor draws harder than normal and the BMS cuts power to protect the cell. Clean the filter first and run another cycle. If the cutouts continue with a clean filter and a fully charged battery, check resting voltage — a healthy replacement cell should hold above 7.8V at rest.

The Mint 4200 used to clean the whole room on a charge, but now it quits halfway through — what's causing the early cutoff?

Gradual capacity fade on Ni-MH cells is usually the cause. This accelerates sharply if the unit has been sitting on the dock continuously — trickle current damages Ni-MH cells over time in a way it doesn't with Li-ion. A replacement 1500mAh cell restores the original charge capacity. Going forward, remove the unit from the dock once charging is complete rather than leaving it docked between sessions.

The replacement battery is installed but the Mint 4200 won't charge — the dock light stays off or flashes an error.

The Mint's charger checks for a specific BMS handshake before it starts the charge cycle. If the handshake fails, the dock will not begin charging even with a correctly fitted cell. First, reseat the battery firmly — a loose contact can break the handshake signal. Then place the unit on the dock and wait two minutes; some units need a brief initialisation period with a fully discharged replacement cell before the charger engages and the indicator light changes state.
