Fits Moppy Profi, 2.0 Profi, 2.0 B2000, B3000 cordless vacuum cleaners with standard 14.4V Ni-MH battery slot.
Delivers 14.4V, 2000mAh output — sufficient capacity for sustained motor draw on carpet and hard floors without mid-cycle voltage sag under normal filter conditions.
Connector slides straight into vacuum housing; metal contact pins align with dock charging posts; locking tab seats flush with battery compartment wall.
Bench tested on Moppy Profi dock charger — BMS accepts full charge cycle without fault indicators; voltage holds steady under sustained motor load until depletion.
Do not leave this battery on the charging dock permanently — Ni-MH cells develop capacity fade under continuous trickle charge, so remove once fully charged.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Moppy Profi / 2.0 Profi / B2000 / B3000 — 14.4V Ni-MH Replacement Battery

This is a 14.4V, 2000mAh Ni-MH replacement battery for the Moppy Profi cordless vacuum and several models in the same family, including the 2.0 Profi, 2.0 B2000, and B3000. It fits the same battery slot as the original and restores full suction power when the factory cell has degraded. Capacity is 2000mAh (28.8Wh), matching the original specification.

  • Profi family compatibility: The Profi, 2.0 Profi, B2000, and B3000 share the same 14.4V battery format, connector, and motor voltage rail. One replacement cell covers the whole range without adapters or modifications.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through full charge and discharge cycles on the Moppy platform. The BMS responded correctly to motor-start current draw and held steady voltage through sustained use without tripping or interrupting power.
  • Dock charging habit on Ni-MH cells: Do not leave the Moppy Profi sitting on the charging dock between uses. Ni-MH cells develop capacity fade significantly faster under continuous trickle charge than under normal charge-and-remove cycles. Charge fully, then unplug from the dock.

Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low

Ni-MH cells experience voltage sag under sustained motor load before the overall charge level is actually depleted. On the Moppy Profi, this shows up as noticeably weaker suction while the indicator still reads mid-range. A partially blocked filter makes this worse — restricted airflow forces the motor to draw more current than rated, which accelerates the sag. Clean the filter first, then charge fully; if sag continues early in a cleaning run, the original cell has degraded past useful capacity and needs replacement.

Motor cuts out mid-use then recovers after a few seconds

This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a wiring fault. When the motor works against a blockage or a clogged filter, current draw spikes beyond the protection threshold and the BMS briefly disconnects the output. The vacuum restarts once the BMS resets, which takes a few seconds. Check and clear the filter and any blockage at the intake before assuming the battery is at fault — a clean airpath brings the current draw back within the BMS operating window.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Moppy Profi suction feels weak from the start of a run — could the new battery be the cause?

Weak suction from the very beginning of a run usually points to a blocked filter, not the battery. A restricted filter forces the motor to draw excess current, which causes immediate voltage sag even on a fully charged cell. Remove and clean the filter, then charge the battery to full and test again. If suction is still weak with a clear filter, verify the replacement cell reached a full charge before the run — Ni-MH cells need at least one complete charge cycle before delivering full capacity.

The Moppy Profi cuts out for a few seconds during use, then starts again on its own — what triggers this?

That stop-start behaviour is the battery BMS tripping on an overcurrent spike, then resetting. It happens when the motor fights a blockage or heavily restricted filter — the current draw exceeds the BMS protection threshold and it briefly cuts output. Clear the filter and check the intake path for any obstruction, then run again. If the cutout continues on a clean, unobstructed vacuum, the cell voltage under load may be sagging — test with a fully charged battery after removing it from the dock for at least one complete charge cycle.

The replacement battery seems to lose charge faster each week even though I clean regularly — what causes that?

Continuous dock charging is the most common cause of accelerated capacity fade in Ni-MH cordless vacuums. Leaving the Moppy Profi plugged in between every use applies a low-level trickle charge that degrades Ni-MH cells faster than regular charge-and-discharge cycles. Charge the battery to full, then remove it from the dock — only return it when the vacuum needs charging again. This alone can slow capacity fade significantly and extend the usable life of the replacement cell.
