This is a 10.8V 2600mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the Redmond RV-R150, RV-R151, and VR201 PetPro robotic vacuum cleaners. It restores power to the vacuum's drive motors and navigation system when the original cell has degraded. Capacity is 2600mAh (28.08Wh), matching the original specification.

- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this battery through full charge and discharge on the RV-R150 platform. The BMS responded correctly to motor-start current draw and triggered no false overcurrent cutoffs during normal navigation and suction cycles.

Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low
The RV-R150 motor draws significantly more current when the filter is partially blocked. Under that elevated load, cell voltage sags earlier in the discharge curve than the indicator expects — so the vacuum loses suction while the indicator still shows mid-charge. This is a voltage sag issue, not a capacity issue. Clean or replace the filter first; if sag continues on a clear filter, the original cell has lost internal capacity and needs replacement.
Motor cuts out mid-clean then recovers after a few seconds
This is a BMS overcurrent trip. It happens when sustained restricted airflow forces the motor to pull above the battery's rated discharge current — the BMS interprets this as a fault and cuts output to protect the cell. The unit recovers once current drops back below the threshold. Check the filter, brush roll, and intake path for blockages before assuming the battery is at fault. If the unit trips on a clear airway, measure resting voltage — a cell below 10.5V under load is at end of life.
