Fits RoboJet Duel and Duel 2 robotic vacuums; replaces OEM part P14421004.
14.4V 2600mAh Li-ion cell delivers 37.44Wh to motor and brush drive circuits.
Connector slides vertically into dock; locking tab seats flush against the battery frame.
We bench-tested this cell in the Duel platform; BMS accepted charge handshake on first insertion and held voltage steady under full motor load.
Do not leave the vacuum on the charging dock continuously—cordless vacuums develop capacity fade significantly faster under trickle charge. Remove the battery when fully charged.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

RoboJet Duel / Duel 2 — 14.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery (P14421004)

This 14.4V 2600mAh Li-ion battery replaces part number P14421004 in the RoboJet Duel and Duel 2 robotic vacuum cleaners. It powers the motorized brush roll and suction motor through full automated cleaning cycles. Swap it in when the original cell no longer holds enough charge to complete a run.

  • Duel and Duel 2 compatibility: Both models run the same 14.4V power rail, use the same P14421004 connector and BMS handshake, and accept this cell without modification or firmware conflict.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge on a Duel unit. The BMS communicated correctly with the vacuum's control board, charge acceptance was normal, and the motor and brush roll started without fault codes.
  • Dock charging habit on the Duel: Do not leave the Duel sitting on its charging dock permanently between uses. Continuous trickle charging accelerates capacity fade on Li-ion cells at this voltage. Charge to full, then lift the unit off the dock until the next session.

Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low

A partially blocked filter forces the Duel's suction motor to draw more current than its rated load. The battery voltage sags under that elevated draw even when cell charge is still high, which the indicator does not reflect. The result is noticeably weaker suction while the display still shows two or three bars. Clean or replace the filter first — if suction restores, the battery is not the cause. If sag continues with a clean filter on a new cell, check that resting voltage sits at or above 16.4V after a full charge.

Motor cuts out mid-cycle then recovers on its own

This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a power-off event. When the brush roll hits a rug edge, a cable, or a blockage, motor current spikes sharply. The BMS interrupts the circuit to protect the cell, the motor stops, and the BMS resets itself within a few seconds once current drops. It will keep tripping on the same obstacle if the restriction is not cleared. Check the brush roll for wrapped hair or debris, and verify the filter is not restricting airflow before assuming the battery is at fault.

Frequently Asked Questions

My RoboJet Duel stops mid-clean and then starts again by itself — is the new battery faulty?

That restart pattern is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a cell defect. When the brush roll or suction pathway is restricted, the motor pulls more current than the BMS allows, so it cuts the circuit and resets. Check the brush roll for tangled hair and inspect the filter before assuming the battery is the issue. If the motor cuts out on clear floor with a clean filter, measure resting cell voltage — it should read at or above 16.4V after a full charge.

The Duel loses suction well before the battery indicator says it's low — why?

A clogged filter is the most likely cause. The suction motor draws higher current to compensate for restricted airflow, which causes voltage sag in the cell even when charge level is still high. The indicator reads state-of-charge, not voltage under load, so it lags behind what the motor is actually experiencing. Clean or replace the filter; if suction recovers, the battery is fine.

After months of leaving the Duel on the dock every day, the new battery already seems weaker — did it come that way?

Continuous dock charging damages Li-ion cells over time through sustained trickle current at full charge. A cell that sits at 100% with a charger feeding it degrades faster than one that charges, rests off the dock, and then depletes through normal use. Charge the battery fully, remove the Duel from the dock, and only return it when the battery needs charging again. This single habit makes the largest measurable difference in how long the 2600mAh capacity holds up.
