Fits Shark WV200UK, WV200, WV201, WV205 handheld vacuums; replaces OEM part XFBT200.
10.8V lithium-ion at 2500mAh delivers the motor voltage needed for full suction on carpet and hard floor.
Connector slides onto the dock contact plate; locking tab seats flush with the battery housing slot.
We bench-tested this cell in a WV200UK — BMS accepted the charge handshake on first dock insertion, load curve stable through discharge.
Do not leave this battery on the charging dock continuously; trickle charge causes fade within weeks, so charge to full and remove immediately.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Shark WV200UK Series — 10.8V Li-ion Replacement Battery (XFBT200)

This is a 10.8V, 2500mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the Shark WV200UK cordless handheld vacuum. It also fits the WV200, WV201, and WV205 models. Direct swap for the original XFBT200 cell when the factory battery no longer holds charge.

  • WV200 series compatibility: The WV200, WV201, WV205, and WV200UK all run the same 10.8V power rail and use an identical connector and BMS handshake. One cell covers the full range.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on a WV200 unit. The BMS communicated correctly with the charger, accepted a full charge without fault codes, and the motor drew current within spec under load.
  • Dock charging habit on the WV200: Do not leave the vacuum sitting on the charging dock permanently. Continuous trickle charge accelerates capacity fade on this cell faster than normal cycling. Charge to full, then remove from the dock.

Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low

This happens when the motor is working harder than rated — usually because airflow is restricted. A partially blocked filter forces the motor to draw excess current, which causes the BMS to reduce output voltage to protect the cell. The result is a noticeable suction drop even when the indicator still shows charge remaining. Remove and tap out the filter, or rinse it if the model allows, before assuming the battery is the cause.

Motor cutting out mid-clean then recovering after a few seconds

This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a flat battery. When suction is blocked — by a full dust cup, a clogged filter, or a lodged debris piece — the motor load spikes and the BMS cuts power to protect the cell. It resets automatically once current drops back within limits. Empty the dust cup, check the filter, and clear any blockage at the inlet. If the cutout persists with a clear airway, check cell voltage under load — it should hold above 9.5V during operation.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Shark WV200 battery fades really fast — could leaving it on the dock have caused this?

Yes, this is the most common cause of premature capacity fade on these handhelds. Continuous dock charging keeps a small trickle current running through the cell even when full, and Li-ion degrades faster under that condition than it does from normal charge cycles. Charge the replacement cell only when depleted, then remove it from the dock once it reaches full.

The vacuum loses suction well before the battery light comes on — is the new battery faulty?

Probably not the battery. A restricted filter forces the motor to draw above its rated current, and the BMS responds by pulling back output voltage — which drops suction even when charge is still available. Remove the filter, tap or rinse out the debris, and retest. Suction should recover immediately if restriction was the cause.

The motor on my WV200 keeps cutting out and restarting every few seconds — what's happening?

That stop-start pattern is a BMS overcurrent trip resetting on a loop. It triggers when the motor load stays elevated — a full dust cup or partially blocked inlet is usually enough to push current over the BMS threshold. Empty the dust cup, clear the inlet, and clean the filter. If the behaviour continues with a clear airway, measure cell voltage under load — a healthy cell at this capacity should not drop below 9.5V during normal operation.
