Fits the Tefal RG 6825 WH, RG 6871 WH, RG 6875 WH, and 35+ other Tefal cordless vacuum models.
This 14.4V 2600mAh Li-ion pack delivers the motor voltage needed to maintain suction on carpets and hard floors.
The battery slides into the vertical handle slot with a push-to-lock connector; the tab seats flush against the motor housing.
We bench-tested this cell on the RG 6825 platform — the BMS handled the motor's initial inrush current without cutout.
Do not leave the vacuum on the charging dock permanently — continuous dock charge causes capacity fade faster than charge-when-depleted cycles.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Tefal RG 6825 WH / RG 6871 WH Series — 14.4V Li-ion 2600mAh Replacement Battery

This is a 14.4V lithium-ion replacement battery rated at 2600mAh (37.44Wh), built to fit the Tefal RG 6825 WH and related cordless stick vacuums. It replaces the original cell when capacity has degraded and suction performance has dropped. Fit models include the RG 6825 WH, RG 6871 WH, RG 6875 WH, RG 6971 KO, and over 35 additional variants in this range.

  • Multi-model compatibility across the RG series: These vacuums share the same 14.4V battery platform, connector format, and BMS handshake requirements. A single cell replacement covers the full range without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on the RG series platform. The BMS responded correctly to charge termination and overcurrent thresholds without tripping or refusing to initialise.
  • Dock charging habit for this vacuum: Do not leave the vacuum seated on the charging dock permanently. Continuous trickle charging on these vacuums degrades cell capacity faster than intermittent charge cycles. Charge to full and remove from the dock.

Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low

On the RG series, the motor draws significantly more current when the filter is partially blocked. This pulls the cell voltage down faster than the indicator circuit expects, so the vacuum feels underpowered while the LED still shows charge remaining. The BMS reads a voltage sag — not a depleted cell — and may reduce output to protect the pack. Clean or replace the filter first, then retest suction at full charge.

Motor cutting out mid-use and recovering after a short pause

This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a faulty battery. It occurs when sustained restricted airflow — usually a blocked filter or partially blocked nozzle — forces the motor to draw beyond the BMS current limit. The BMS cuts power to protect the cells, then resets after the pack temperature drops. Clear the blockage, check the filter, and confirm the voltage reads above 12.6V on a full charge before ruling out cell degradation.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Tefal RG 6825 WH loses suction halfway through cleaning but the battery light still shows full — what's happening?

The motor draws more current when the filter is partially blocked, which drags cell voltage down faster than the indicator circuit tracks. The vacuum feels weak while the LED still reads charged because the indicator measures state-of-charge, not motor load. Clean the filter thoroughly and retest — a clean filter drops motor draw back within normal range. If suction stays weak after cleaning, measure pack voltage: a full charge should read at or above 16.0V.

My vacuum runs fine then cuts out completely for a minute, then starts again — is the battery faulty?

This is the BMS tripping on overcurrent, not a defective cell. It happens when the nozzle or duct is partially blocked and the motor pulls more amps than the BMS threshold allows. The pack shuts off to protect the cells, then resets once internal temperature drops. Clear any blockage in the nozzle and duct, clean the filter, and run again — if the cutout stops, the battery is fine.

The replacement battery is showing capacity fade after only a few months — what causes that on this vacuum?

Leaving the RG series on its charging dock continuously is the primary cause of early capacity fade. The charger maintains a trickle current after the cell reaches full charge, and lithium-ion cells held at 100% under trickle charge lose capacity measurably faster than cells cycled normally. Remove the vacuum from the dock once charging is complete. Store it partially charged — around 11.5V to 14.4V — if it will not be used for more than two weeks.
