Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Trifo VIVA — 14.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery (VIVA1-4S2P-LG)
This is a 14.4V, 9000mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the Trifo VIVA robotic vacuum cleaner. It carries OEM part number VIVA1-4S2P-LG and fits the VIVA platform directly. Swap it in when the original cell no longer holds enough charge to complete a cleaning cycle.
- Trifo VIVA platform fit: The VIVA runs a 4S2P lithium cell arrangement that sets the 14.4V nominal rail. The BMS on this pack uses the same handshake protocol the VIVA charging dock expects, so the dock recognises the battery and initiates a proper charge cycle without error codes.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack through charge and discharge cycles on a VIVA unit. The BMS held the 14.4V nominal rail under sustained motor load and triggered overcurrent protection correctly when suction was blocked — no thermal runaway, no false low-battery shutdowns during normal operation.
- Dock charging habit for the VIVA: The VIVA auto-returns to its dock after every run, which means it can sit on continuous trickle charge for days. Remove the robot from the dock once the charge indicator shows full — leaving it docked indefinitely accelerates capacity fade in lithium cells faster than normal cycle wear.
Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low on the VIVA
This happens when the motor draws more current than the BMS expects under restricted airflow — not because the cell is empty. A partially clogged filter forces the motor to work harder, pulling current above the pack's rated discharge ceiling. The BMS reads this as a stress event and begins throttling motor voltage to protect the cell, which the robot interprets as low power. Clean or replace the VIVA filter first, then retest — if suction holds across a full run, the battery is not the cause.
VIVA motor cuts out mid-run then recovers after a few seconds
This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a failed battery. When the robot transitions from hard floor to thick carpet, or when debris briefly blocks the intake, current draw spikes sharply. If the spike exceeds the pack's continuous discharge rating, the BMS opens the circuit and waits for current to drop before resetting — usually within three to five seconds. Check the brush roll for tangled hair or debris restricting rotation, clear the blockage, and confirm the filter is clean. If trips continue on a clear intake with a new battery, the motor bearings may be drawing excess current independently.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Trifo VIVA used to clean the whole floor on one charge — now it stops halfway through. The battery indicator doesn't even show low when it quits.
This is voltage sag under load, not a dead cell — the battery still has charge but can no longer hold the voltage the motor needs when current demand rises. In degraded lithium cells, internal resistance increases, so voltage drops sharply the moment the motor draws hard on carpet or during a direction change. The VIVA's controller reads that voltage sag as a shutdown condition even though the cell isn't empty. Replacing the battery restores the low internal resistance the motor needs to sustain voltage above the cutoff threshold across a full run.
My Trifo VIVA has been sitting on the dock for three months and the battery barely lasts before it needs to charge again — is this the battery or the dock?
It's the battery. Continuous dock charging keeps lithium cells in a permanently full state while the charger supplies a low trickle current to offset self-discharge — this is one of the fastest ways to degrade lithium cell capacity, regardless of how many actual cleaning cycles you run. Three months on constant dock charge can cause measurable capacity loss in the original cell. With the replacement pack, charge it fully, then remove the VIVA from the dock and only return it to charge when the indicator drops — this alone significantly slows future fade.
I fitted the new VIVA1-4S2P-LG battery but the dock light just blinks and never shows a solid charge — did I get the wrong battery?
A blinking dock light usually means the charger isn't completing a BMS handshake, not a voltage mismatch. First, reseat the battery firmly — the contact pins on the VIVA base need full engagement to allow the dock to read the pack's BMS. If it still blinks, place the VIVA on the dock, wait 60 seconds, then lift it off and re-dock; some VIVA units require a brief contact reset after a new battery is installed. If the light goes solid after reseating, charge normally. If it continues to blink with confirmed full contact, check that the dock power adapter is outputting correctly — a failing adapter can present as a battery fault.
