Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Jabra BT3030 / Street2 — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (AHB302323)
This 3.7V, 100mAh Li-Polymer cell replaces part number AHB302323 in the Jabra BT3030 and Street2 Bluetooth headsets. Both models run the same compact cell at identical voltage and connector spec. When the original cell degrades and talk time collapses, this swap restores the headset to working order.
- BT3030 and Street2 shared platform: Both headsets use the same 3.7V Li-Polymer cell, connector pinout, and BMS logic. A battery pulled from one will fit the other without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through the BT3030's charging circuit and confirmed the BMS accepted the pack, reported charge state correctly, and held voltage through combined audio and Bluetooth radio draw.
- First-charge protocol for BT3030: Seat the headset in its charging cradle and let it complete a full charge cycle before making a call. The headset's firmware logs the new cell during that first cycle — skipping it causes the talk-time indicator to read inaccurately for the first several uses.
Why the BT3030 cuts out mid-call even with a charged battery
The BT3030 draws simultaneously from its audio amplifier and Bluetooth radio during a call. That combined load causes a brief voltage sag on a degraded or newly installed cell. If the cell voltage dips below the BMS cutoff threshold — typically around 3.0V under load — the headset shuts down even though the resting voltage reads fine. A fresh cell resolves the sag issue, but the first full charge cycle must complete before the BMS calibrates its cutoff accurately against the new cell's capacity curve.
Base station shows full charge but headset dies after a few minutes
A replacement cell ships at storage voltage, usually between 3.6V and 3.8V. The charging cradle may interpret this as a near-full cell and terminate the charge cycle early. The headset then starts from a partially charged state and cuts off quickly under load. Place the headset back in the cradle, leave it undisturbed for a complete charge cycle, and confirm the indicator shows a full charge before use. After that first full cycle the charging circuit reads the cell correctly.

Frequently Asked Questions
My BT3030 keeps cutting out mid-call but the battery indicator showed it was charged — what's happening?
The BT3030 pulls from both its audio circuit and Bluetooth radio at the same time, and that combined draw causes a voltage sag the indicator doesn't show at rest. If the cell voltage dips below roughly 3.0V under that load, the BMS shuts the headset down even though it looked fine sitting idle. A fresh cell reduces that sag, but only after the first full charge cycle completes will the BMS cutoff calibrate correctly to the new cell. Seat the headset in the cradle and let it charge fully without interruption before your next call.
Talk time is noticeably shorter than rated for the first few uses — is the battery faulty?
It's not faulty — Li-Polymer cells at this capacity need three to five charge-discharge cycles before they reach their rated output. On a new cell the electrolyte hasn't fully wetted the electrode surface, so usable capacity starts low and climbs with each cycle. Run the headset down to the low-battery warning, then charge it fully, and repeat that a few times. By cycle four or five talk time should be at or near the rated figure.
The headset feels noticeably warm after a long call — is that normal for this battery size?
Some warmth is expected. The BT3030 housing is very small and the combined heat from the audio amplifier and Bluetooth radio has limited surface area to dissipate through. The Li-Polymer cell itself generates minimal heat under normal draw, but sustained calls trap that amplifier and radio heat around it. If the headset becomes hot to the touch rather than just warm, let it cool for ten minutes and check that the charging contacts are clean — dirty contacts increase resistance and add heat during any simultaneous charge-and-use scenario.
