Fits ADE ESW50-15 and STAN07 handheld medical devices, replacing OEM part BAT21.
7.4V 3000mAh lithium-ion cell delivers 22.2Wh for sustained clinical monitoring without midshift power loss.
Connector seats flush into the device battery slot with vertical orientation and positive-terminal-up polarity.
We bench-tested the cell under ESW50-15 load profile; BMS initialized normally and held voltage stable across discharge cycles.
After installation, allow the device to complete its power-on self-test cycle without interruption — medical devices run BMS verification at startup, and interrupting this sequence causes a false battery fault that persists until the next full reboot.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

ADE ESW50-15 / STAN07 — 7.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery (BAT21)

This is a 7.4V 3000mAh (22.2Wh) lithium-ion battery for the ADE ESW50-15 and STAN07 portable medical devices. It replaces OEM part BAT21. The battery fits both models directly — same voltage rail, same connector, same BMS communication protocol.

  • ESW50-15 and STAN07 compatibility: Both models run the same 7.4V power architecture and use the same BAT21 battery housing. The BMS on each device negotiates cell state via the same handshake — one replacement battery covers both.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full charge and discharge on the ESW50-15 platform. The BMS accepted the cell without fault flags, and charge termination fired correctly at full capacity. No voltage sag was observed under normal clinical load.
  • Post-installation self-test requirement: After fitting this battery, let the device complete its full power-on self-test without interruption. Medical devices run a BMS verification routine at startup — cutting power during this sequence generates a false battery fault that persists until the next clean reboot.

Device not completing boot sequence after battery swap

The ESW50-15 runs a BMS learn cycle during its first few power-on sequences with a new cell. If the device halts mid-boot or throws a battery fault immediately after installation, the BMS has not yet characterised the new cell's internal resistance and charge curve. This is not a fault with the replacement battery. Run one complete charge-discharge cycle without interrupting the boot sequence, and the BMS will clear the flag and proceed normally.

Low battery alarm triggering immediately after a confirmed full charge

This happens because the device's charge IC applies a conservative voltage threshold when it first sees a new cell — it hasn't yet mapped the cell's capacity curve. The alarm fires against an OEM-calibrated minimum that a fresh, uncycled cell can appear to breach on the first read. Run one full charge-discharge cycle to let the BMS calibrate against actual cell capacity. After that cycle, the low-battery threshold will read correctly against this cell's real charge state.

Frequently Asked Questions

The ESW50-15 shows a low battery warning the moment I turn it on, even though I just fully charged the new battery — what's happening?

The device's BMS is reading the new cell's charge state against a threshold calibrated to a characterised OEM cell. A fresh, uncycled replacement hasn't completed its capacity mapping yet, so the BMS under-reads it. Run one full charge cycle until the indicator confirms complete charge, then discharge through normal use and recharge fully. After that first cycle, the BMS recalibrates and the false alarm clears.

The device won't power on at all after the replacement battery sat in packaging for a while — is the battery dead?

Li-ion cells self-discharge in storage, and if the voltage drops below the BMS recovery threshold (typically around 2.5V per cell, or roughly 5.0V at pack level for a 7.4V 2S pack), the BMS locks out to prevent deep-discharge damage. Place the battery on charge immediately and leave it connected for at least two full hours without interruption. Most BMS circuits include a trickle pre-charge mode that recovers cells from this state — the charge indicator will confirm when recovery is complete.

The ESW50-15 is shutting off unexpectedly during use in the first week with the new battery — is something wrong with the cell?

New lithium-ion cells deliver full rated capacity only after several conditioning cycles — in the first 5 to 10 cycles, the cell's charge acceptance and discharge curve are still stabilising. The device's load profile during active clinical use stresses a new cell harder than it will once conditioned, which can trigger the BMS undervoltage cutoff earlier than expected. Complete 5 full charge-discharge cycles through normal use before relying on the battery for uninterrupted clinical sessions. Do not use the device in a clinical setting until the self-test passes cleanly after a full charge.
