Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Alcatel 1 Dual SIM — 3.8V Li-ion Replacement Battery (TLI019D7)
This 3.8V, 1900mAh Li-ion battery replaces the TLI019D7 cell in the Alcatel 1 Dual SIM smartphone. It restores capacity lost to cell ageing and fits the original battery bay without modification. Voltage and physical dimensions match the OEM spec: 87.40 × 34.92 × 4.70mm.
- Alcatel 1 Dual SIM fit: The TLI019D7 uses a single-cell 3.8V nominal configuration with a specific connector pinout tied to the phone's charge IC. Any cell outside this voltage and connector spec will not complete the BMS handshake on the mainboard.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on the Alcatel 1 Dual SIM mainboard. The BMS handshake completed on first connection, charge current ramped correctly from trickle to CC/CV, and cutoff triggered at the expected 4.35V charge ceiling.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: After fitting this cell, disable fast charging and run one full discharge-to-charge cycle before normal use. The fuel gauge IC is still calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve. One complete cycle lets it map the new cell's voltage profile before high-current charging is applied.
Why the Alcatel 1 Dual SIM reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap
The fuel gauge IC uses a coulomb counter and a stored discharge curve to calculate state of charge. When you swap the cell, the IC still references the old cell's curve — which no longer matches the new cell's actual voltage-to-capacity relationship. The result is percentage readings that jump, stall, or read 100% while the phone shuts down minutes later. One full discharge below 10% followed by a complete charge to 100% forces the IC to rewrite its reference curve against the new cell.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell
This is a voltage cliff problem, not a capacity problem. Under peak load — active call, mobile data, or screen at full brightness — the cell's internal resistance causes a brief voltage sag that dips below the BMS cutoff threshold, even though the coulomb counter still shows charge remaining. The phone interprets the sag as a critical low-voltage event and shuts down immediately. Letting the replacement cell complete two full charge cycles reduces internal resistance at the surface layer and raises the voltage floor under load back above the cutoff point.

Frequently Asked Questions
Phone won't turn on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for a few months — is the cell dead?
Likely not dead, but the BMS has locked out because the cell self-discharged below 2.5V during storage. Connect the phone to a wall charger — not a PC USB port — and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button. The charge IC will trickle current into the cell to bring it above the BMS recovery threshold, after which the phone will boot normally. If the screen shows no charge indicator after 45 minutes on a wall adapter, check the charging cable and port for continuity.
Fast charging stopped working after fitting this battery — the phone now charges slowly even on the original fast charger.
On the first cycle after a cell swap, the charge IC on the Alcatel 1 Dual SIM defaults to a reduced current rate while it establishes communication with the new cell's BMS. This is normal behaviour — it is not a fault with the charger or the battery. Complete one full charge to 100% at the reduced rate, then disconnect and allow the phone to drain below 15% before charging again. Fast charge protocol should resume from the second cycle onward once the IC confirms BMS parameters from the new cell.
Battery percentage jumps erratically — goes from 60% to 45% in seconds, then back up without charging.
The fuel gauge IC is recalibrating its coulomb counter against a cell discharge curve it has not yet mapped. It was calibrated to the original TLI019D7's aged curve, and the new cell's voltage response at each charge level does not match those stored values. The jumps are the IC correcting its estimate in real time as it collects new discharge data. Run one uninterrupted discharge from 100% down to automatic shutdown, then charge to 100% without interruption — after that cycle the IC will have a complete new reference curve and percentage reporting will stabilise.
