This 3.85V, 3900mAh Li-Polymer battery replaces the original TLP040M7 / TLP040M1 cells in the Alcatel 3T and OT-9032T tablets. It restores full power to the display, processor, and wireless radios where the original cell has degraded or failed. Voltage and capacity match OEM specification exactly.

  • 3T and OT-9032T fit: Both models share the same chassis dimensions, connector pinout, and charge IC handshake. The TLP040M7 and TLP040M1 part numbers are interchangeable across these variants — same cell, same BMS communication protocol.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this battery through charge and discharge cycles on a 3T unit. The BMS accepted charge from the stock adapter without fault codes, and the charge IC stepped through CC/CV stages correctly with no thermal interruption.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration after swap: After fitting this battery, run one full discharge to automatic shutoff — do not force-power it off — then charge uninterrupted to 100%. The fuel gauge IC on the 3T calibrates against the new cell during this cycle and clears the inaccurate percentage readings that appear immediately after a swap.

Alcatel 3T shutting down at 15–25% remaining

The 3T runs the display backlight and WiFi radio simultaneously under normal use — this combined load draws enough current to create a rapid voltage drop near the bottom of the discharge curve. When the cell voltage hits the BMS low-voltage cutoff threshold, the tablet shuts down even though the OS still shows remaining percentage. A worn original cell reaches this cutoff faster because internal resistance is higher. After fitting a new cell, one full discharge-to-shutoff cycle resets the fuel gauge and aligns the reported percentage with actual cell voltage.

Fast charging not available after battery replacement on the 3T

Some 3T units stop offering fast charge immediately after a battery swap — the charge IC needs one accepted full charge cycle before it re-enables the higher current negotiation with the adapter. Use the original Alcatel charger for the first full cycle, not a third-party cable or hub. If fast charge still does not appear after one complete cycle, check that the USB-C connector on the tablet is fully seated and free of debris. A clean port and the correct adapter are the two variables that matter here.

It is not faulty. The fuel gauge IC in the 3T was calibrated to the old, degraded cell, so its voltage map is off after a swap. Run one full discharge to automatic shutoff — do not manually power down — then charge uninterrupted to 100% without interruption. That single cycle recalibrates the fuel gauge against the new cell's voltage curve and resolves the premature shutdown.

The Alcatel 3T battery percentage is jumping around — it read 60%, then dropped to 30% in minutes after replacement.

This is fuel gauge drift — the charge tracking IC still has the old cell's capacity profile loaded. The percentage jumps because the IC is interpolating against the wrong reference data. One complete discharge-to-shutoff followed by a full uninterrupted charge to 100% forces the IC to rebuild its capacity map against the new 3900mAh cell. After that cycle, percentage readings stabilise.

The tablet feels warm near the charging port while charging the new battery — should I be concerned?

Mild warmth at the charge IC location is normal during the first few charge cycles on a new Li-Polymer cell. The charge IC runs in constant-current mode until the cell reaches roughly 4.2V, then switches to constant-voltage — both phases generate some heat. If the tablet becomes hot to the touch or the charger disconnects repeatedly, check that you are using the original Alcatel adapter and that the USB-C port is clean. Normal warmth during CC phase requires no action.
