Fits Alcatel A30 Tablet and replaces OEM part numbers TLp040J1 and TLP040K7.
3.85V, 4000mAh lithium-polymer cell restores full tablet operation for browsing, streaming, and productivity tasks.
Connector seats flat against the internal charge port; locking tab secures horizontally with no rotation needed.
We bench-tested the cell at half-load discharge and confirmed clean BMS voltage regulation with no early cutoff.
After installation, run one full discharge to automatic shutoff then charge uninterrupted to 100% — this resets the fuel gauge calibration and eliminates inaccurate battery percentage display.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Alcatel A30 Tablet — 3.85V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (TLp040J1)

This 3.85V, 4000mAh Li-Polymer cell replaces the original battery in the Alcatel A30 Tablet, A30 Tablet 4G LTE, and models 9024W and 8082. It matches the OEM voltage and physical footprint at 117.15 × 92.62 × 2.36mm. Swap it in when the original cell degrades and the tablet can no longer hold a charge through a normal day of use.

  • A30 Tablet platform compatibility: The A30 Tablet series — including 4G LTE variants — shares the same battery bay dimensions, connector orientation, and 3.85V charge curve. Any device in this line accepts this cell without modification to the connector or charge IC settings.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through full charge and discharge cycles on the A30 platform. The BMS accepted charge current without tripping, voltage held steady across display-on and WiFi-active loads, and the charge IC reported correct termination at 4.35V.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration after installation: After fitting this battery, run the tablet down to automatic shutoff — do not force-stop it — then charge uninterrupted to 100%. This single cycle resets the fuel gauge IC against the new cell's actual capacity curve and clears the inaccurate percentage readings that appear right after a swap.

Alcatel A30 Tablet shutting down at 15–25% remaining

This happens when the fuel gauge IC is still calibrated to the old, degraded cell. It maps voltage to percentage based on the previous cell's discharge curve, which no longer matches the new cell. When display backlight and WiFi radio draw peak simultaneously, the voltage drops faster than the IC expects and it triggers a low-battery shutdown. One full discharge-to-shutoff cycle followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100% corrects the curve — after that, shutdowns at 15–25% stop.

Fast charging not available after battery swap on the A30 Tablet

The A30 Tablet's charge IC negotiates charge rate during the first accepted charge cycle after a new cell is installed. Until that cycle completes, the system may default to standard 5V/1A input rather than the faster rate. Plug into the original Alcatel charger — not a generic USB hub — and let the tablet charge from zero to 100% without interruption. After that first complete cycle, fast charge negotiation resumes normally.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Alcatel A30 Tablet shows 80% battery but drops to 10% within minutes — is the new battery faulty?

The new cell is almost certainly fine. The fuel gauge IC in the A30 Tablet is still calibrated to the discharge curve of the old, worn cell and is misreading the new one. Run the tablet down to automatic shutoff without plugging it in, then charge it uninterrupted to 100%. After that single recalibration cycle, the percentage readings stabilise.

The A30 Tablet feels noticeably warm near the charging port during the first few charges after a battery swap — should I stop charging?

Warmth during the first few charge cycles is normal. The charge IC on a fresh Li-Polymer cell draws at a higher initial rate while it characterises the new cell's internal resistance. Surface temperature should stay well below 40°C. If the tablet becomes hot to the touch or shows a charging error icon, disconnect and check the connector seating — a partially seated battery connector causes the charge IC to retry repeatedly, which generates excess heat.

The A30 Tablet's battery percentage drops faster from 100% than the old battery did — even when the old battery was nearly new.

This is fuel gauge drift, not a capacity problem. The IC's charge-counting baseline resets at whatever state the cell was at when first connected, so early percentage readings are off. A full discharge to automatic shutoff followed by a complete uninterrupted charge to 100% anchors the gauge to the actual 4000mAh capacity. Run that cycle once and the drop rate from 100% normalises.
