Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Alcatel One Touch Pixi 4 Plus Power — 3.8V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (TLP050BC)
This 3.8V, 5000mAh lithium-polymer battery replaces the original TLP050BC cell in the Alcatel One Touch Pixi 4 Plus Power and One Touch Pixi 4 Plus Power Dual SIM (5023F). It fits the same footprint at 94.00 × 64.90 × 4.72mm and matches the original connector and BMS handshake points. Capacity is rated at 19Wh from the factory.
- 5023F and Dual SIM compatibility: Both the single and Dual SIM variants of the Pixi 4 Plus Power share the same battery bay dimensions, voltage rail, and connector pinout. The BMS communication line is identical across both board revisions, so this cell seats and negotiates correctly on either model.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through full charge-discharge cycles on the 5023F mainboard. The BMS negotiated charge termination correctly at 4.35V, and the protection circuit tripped as expected under short-circuit simulation. No anomalous heat at the charge IC contact points.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: After installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge down to automatic shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. This gives the Pixi 4's coulomb counter a clean reference cycle against the new cell's discharge curve before fast-charge current is applied to an uncalibrated cell.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Pixi 4 Plus Power
The Pixi 4 Plus Power runs a combined modem and screen load that can pull current sharply when LTE signal drops. A degraded original cell hits a voltage cliff under that spike — the cell voltage collapses below the BMS cutoff threshold even though the fuel gauge still reads 20–30%. This replacement cell holds voltage more steadily under the same load spike. After fitting it, run the full recalibration cycle so the fuel gauge IC maps the new cell's actual voltage-to-capacity curve and stops triggering premature shutdowns at a falsely high percentage.
Phone won't power on after sitting in storage — BMS lockout
Lithium-polymer cells that discharge below roughly 2.5V in storage trigger the BMS protection circuit, which then blocks normal charging to prevent cell damage. The phone shows no charge indicator and appears completely dead. Connect it to a wall charger — not a PC USB port — and leave it for 20–30 minutes without interrupting the connection. The charge IC delivers a low-current trickle that nudges the cell above the BMS re-enable threshold, typically around 2.9–3.0V, at which point normal charging resumes and the screen responds.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Pixi 4 Plus Power percentage jumps around erratically after fitting the new battery — is the battery faulty?
The cell itself is fine. The fuel gauge IC on the 5023F board was calibrated to the discharge curve of the old, degraded cell, and it's now misreading the new cell's voltage profile. Run one full uninterrupted discharge to auto-shutdown followed by a full charge to 100% with fast charging disabled. That single cycle gives the coulomb counter a clean reference and the percentage readings stabilise.
Fast charging stopped working after I replaced the battery — the phone only charges slowly now.
On the first cycle after a cell swap, the Pixi 4's charge controller sometimes falls back to standard 5V charging because the BMS on the new cell hasn't completed its initial handshake with the device's charge IC. This is normal behaviour on the first charge. Complete one full standard charge cycle to 100%, then disconnect and reconnect the charger — the fast-charge protocol re-negotiates correctly on subsequent cycles.
The phone feels warm near the battery during charging after the replacement — is that normal?
A new high-impedance lithium-polymer cell generates slightly more heat at the charge IC contact points during the first few charge cycles than a broken-in cell does. This is expected and typically resolves after two to three full cycles as the internal impedance settles. If the warmth is concentrated at the back of the phone near the battery rather than at the USB port area, and it persists past the third charge cycle, reseat the battery connector and confirm the gold contact strips are fully aligned.
