Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Amazing A7 — 3.8V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery
This is a 3.8V, 3200mAh Li-Polymer battery for the Amazing A7 smartphone. It replaces the original power cell when capacity has dropped after repeated charge cycles. Dimensions are 95.58 × 57.15 × 4.16 mm — confirm fitment against your existing cell before installation.
- Amazing A7 fitment: The A7 uses a slim Li-Polymer pouch cell on a 3.8V nominal rail. This cell matches that voltage rail and connector footprint. The BMS on the A7 mainboard negotiates charge termination with the cell's protection circuit — voltage and cell geometry both need to match for that handshake to complete correctly.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the bench, monitoring BMS cutoff behaviour at both ends. The protection circuit tripped cleanly at low-voltage threshold and accepted a full charge termination without cycling the charge IC into fault state.
- First-cycle fast charge behaviour: On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging pushes current into an uncalibrated cell — preventing early percentage drift and false low-battery shutdowns.
Why the A7 reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap
The A7's fuel gauge IC builds its capacity model by tracking coulombs in and out of the original cell over many cycles. When you swap to a new cell, that learned model no longer matches the actual discharge curve of the replacement. The result is percentage readings that lag, jump, or plateau for the first few cycles. One full discharge to automatic shutdown followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100% forces the coulomb counter to recalculate against the new cell's actual characteristics.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell
This happens when the fuel gauge IC still holds the old cell's voltage-to-capacity curve in memory, so the percentage shown doesn't reflect the new cell's actual state of charge. Under modem or screen load, the cell voltage drops sharply — the phone hits the hardware low-voltage cutoff before the displayed percentage reaches zero. It's a calibration gap, not a faulty cell. Run one complete discharge cycle to shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100%, and the shutdowns will stop at the correct threshold.

Frequently Asked Questions
The A7 shows 25% and then shuts off immediately — is the new battery faulty?
The cell itself is not faulty. The fuel gauge IC on the A7 mainboard is still reading from the discharge curve it built for the old, degraded cell. When load spikes from the modem or display hit the new cell, voltage drops faster than the old curve predicts, and the hardware cutoff fires before the counter reaches zero. Run one full discharge to automatic shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100% — the coulomb counter resets to the new cell's actual curve and the early shutdowns stop.
USB fast charging stopped working after I put in the replacement battery — the phone just trickle charges now.
On the first cycle after a cell swap, some proprietary and USB-PD charge protocols on the A7 fall back to standard 5V charging because the charge IC re-evaluates cell impedance before allowing high-current input. The new Li-Polymer cell starts with slightly higher impedance than a broken-in cell, and the charge IC treats that as a signal to limit current. Complete one full standard charge cycle first — impedance drops as the cell conditions, and the fast charge handshake will re-enable on the following charge.
The phone gets noticeably warm near the battery area during the first few charges — is that normal?
A new Li-Polymer cell has higher internal impedance than a cell that has been through dozens of cycles. The charge IC on the A7 pushes current into that higher impedance during the initial cycles, and that resistance difference converts to heat. It is most pronounced during the first two or three charge sessions and then settles as the cell conditions. If the phone becomes hot to the touch or the charge IC triggers a thermal pause, let the device cool to room temperature and restart charging — by the third cycle, heat during charging should be no different from the original cell.
