Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Asus ROG Strix G15 G513IH / G513QC / G17 G713QE — 15.48V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (C41N2010)
This is a 15.48V, 3500mAh (54.18Wh) Li-Polymer cell for the Asus ROG Strix G15 and G17 gaming laptop series. It fits models including the G513IH-HN006, G513QC-HN093T, G513QC-HN033T, and G713QE-HX024T, among 42 additional SKUs sharing the same connector and BMS handshake. OEM part numbers are C41N2010 and 0B200-03890000.
- ROG Strix G15 / G17 platform fit: These models share a 4-cell 15.48V architecture with the same 4-pin SMBus connector and identical BMS negotiation logic — one cell services the full cluster without pinout or firmware changes.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell on the G513 platform and confirmed the BMS authenticated without fault codes, the charge circuit accepted full input from the 200W adapter, and the EC reported correct cell voltage across all four series cells.
- Post-swap learn cycle for the G513 / G713: After installing, discharge fully until the laptop enters hibernate, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. This resets the BIOS battery learn cycle and clears the inaccurate health warning that appears after every cell swap on this ROG platform.
BIOS reporting poor battery health immediately after installing a new cell
The Asus EC reads health data stored in the old cell's EEPROM — when a new cell arrives, that data is blank or mismatched, so the BIOS flags it as degraded. This is a firmware read issue, not a cell defect. Run one full discharge-to-hibernate cycle followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100%; the BIOS recalibrates its health register against the new chemistry. After two full cycles the health status on most G513 and G713 units clears to normal.
Laptop shutting off at 20–30% shown on the fuel gauge after battery swap
The fuel gauge IC on the G513 / G713 platform maps percentage to voltage curves learned from the previous cell. A new cell has a slightly different voltage-capacity curve, so the IC misjudges the remaining capacity. Under full CPU plus display load the real cell voltage drops below the EC's hard cutoff threshold before the displayed percentage reaches zero. Run two complete calibration cycles — discharge to hibernate, charge to 100% without interruption — and the fuel gauge IC relearns the voltage cliff of the new cell, typically resolving shutdown around 15.8V per cell group.

Frequently Asked Questions
My ROG Strix G15 shows the replacement battery as "0%" and won't boot off it — is the cell dead?
The Asus EC can't read the EEPROM on a fresh cell and defaults to 0% until a learn cycle runs. Connect the 200W adapter, let the laptop boot on AC power, and run one full discharge to hibernate followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100%. After that cycle the EC registers the cell correctly and the gauge reads accurately.
System information shows the wrong Wh rating — 90Wh instead of 54Wh — after swapping in this battery. What's happening?
The Wh figure shown in Windows or HWiNFO pulls from the EEPROM rated value stored on the old cell's fuel gauge IC, not from a live measurement of the new cell. Once the G513 BIOS completes a full battery learn cycle, it overwrites the cached Wh value with data from the new cell's chemistry. Run one complete discharge-to-hibernate then charge-to-100% cycle and the reported Wh will update to reflect the actual 54.18Wh capacity.
The new battery charges to exactly 80% then stops — the laptop just sits there plugged in and never goes higher.
This is the Asus Battery Health Charging mode, a BIOS-controlled charge limit — not a fault with the replacement cell. Open MyASUS or the BIOS (hold F2 at boot), navigate to Battery Health Charging, and switch from 80% mode to Full Capacity mode. The charge circuit will then continue past 80% and reach 100%.
