Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Asus ZenBook Duo 14 UX482EG-HY Series — 15.4V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (C41N2004)
This 15.4V, 4050mAh (62.37Wh) Li-Polymer cell replaces the OEM C41N2004 battery in the Asus ZenBook Duo 14 UX482EG-HY Series and related UX482EA and UX482EG models. The dual-screen layout on these machines draws significantly more power than a standard single-panel laptop, and the original cell degrades faster as a result. This replacement restores full portable operation across the entire ZenBook Duo 14 UX482 lineup.
- UX482 series compatibility: Every UX482EA and UX482EG variant covered here shares the same C41N2004 cell format, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. The secondary ScreenPad Plus display runs off the same battery rail, so voltage and cell geometry must match exactly — this cell does both.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell on a UX482EG unit and monitored BMS communication through the full charge cycle. The protection circuit handled charge cutoff correctly at 100%, and the fuel gauge IC received accurate data from the new cell within two calibration cycles.
- Post-install calibration on the ZenBook Duo 14: After fitting this cell, run one full discharge to hibernate-cutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100% without interruption. This resets the BIOS battery learn cycle and clears the inaccurate health warning that appears after every cell swap on UX482 units.
Why the UX482 reports poor battery health immediately after replacement
The ZenBook Duo 14's BIOS reads health data stored in the old cell's EEPROM and compares it against the new cell's initial readings. A fresh cell with no cycle history reads differently from what the firmware expects, so it flags the status as degraded or unknown. This is a firmware interpretation issue, not a cell fault. Running one full discharge-to-hibernate followed by a full uninterrupted charge completes the BIOS battery learn cycle and resolves the warning.
ZenBook Duo 14 shutting down at 20–30% shown on the fuel gauge
This happens when the fuel gauge IC has not yet calibrated against the new cell's actual voltage curve. The gauge reports 20–30% remaining, but the cell's real voltage under full CPU and dual-display load drops below the BMS cutoff threshold before the displayed figure reaches zero. The laptop shuts down to protect the cell, not because of a fault. Run two complete discharge-to-hibernate and full-recharge cycles — after the second cycle, the gauge IC locks onto the correct voltage floor and the shutdowns stop.

Frequently Asked Questions
My ZenBook Duo 14 shows the new battery as "0% available (plugged in, charging)" and never moves — is the cell dead?
This is the fuel gauge IC reading stale EEPROM data from the old cell and failing to initialise against the new one. Let it charge uninterrupted to 100%, then discharge fully to hibernate-cutoff without plugging in. After one complete cycle the gauge resets and the percentage begins tracking correctly. If it still reads 0% after that, check Device Manager for a yellow flag on the Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery entry and reinstall the driver.
The battery info in Windows shows 62Wh on the label but the BIOS reports a different Wh figure — which one is right?
The BIOS pulls its Wh figure from the EEPROM data written to the cell at manufacture, which reflects rated chemistry values under lab conditions. The 62.37Wh figure on the product data is the actual measured capacity of this cell. The two numbers differ because EEPROM-rated values and real-world tested capacity use different reference discharge curves. Trust the product data figure — the BIOS value does not affect charging or performance.
Charge stopped at 80% on my UX482EG and will not go higher no matter how long it stays plugged in — is the replacement cell faulty?
The ZenBook Duo 14 BIOS includes a Battery Health Charging feature that caps charging at 80% by default to reduce long-term cell stress. This is firmware behaviour, not a cell fault. Open MyASUS, go to Battery Health Charging, and switch the mode from Balanced to Full Capacity. The charge limit immediately lifts to 100%.
