Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Asus ZenFone Max M1 — 3.85V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (0B200-02880000)
This 3.85V, 3700mAh (14.25Wh) Li-Polymer cell replaces the original battery in the Asus ZB555KL and ZenFone Max M1 series, including Dual SIM and TD-LTE variants. It matches OEM part numbers 0B200-02880000 and C11P1707. The cell fits the same 81.08 x 59.78 x 4.22mm envelope and uses the same connector as the factory unit.
- ZB555KL and ZenFone Max M1 compatibility: All variants in this lineup — standard, Dual SIM, and TD-LTE — share the same battery footprint, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol, which is why one cell covers the full range.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on ZB555KL hardware. The BMS accepted charge current without tripping protection, and the fuel gauge IC picked up the new cell without throwing low-battery errors at full capacity.
- First cycle after installation: Disable fast charging for the first complete discharge-charge cycle. This gives the fuel gauge IC time to map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging begins — skipping this step can cause the percentage readout to drift by 10–15%.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the ZenFone Max M1
This happens when the cell voltage drops below the modem's minimum threshold under combined screen and LTE load, even though the fuel gauge still shows charge remaining. The old cell's discharge curve was shallow enough to mask the cliff — a new, uncalibrated cell hits it hard. Run one full discharge to 0% shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100% without fast charge enabled. After that single cycle, the fuel gauge IC recalibrates its coulomb counter to the new cell and the cutoff behaviour normalises.
Phone won't power on after the replacement cell sat in storage
Li-Polymer cells self-discharge in storage, and if the replacement cell dropped below 2.5V per cell, the BMS enters lockout to prevent damage. The phone will not respond to the power button and may not show a charging indicator immediately. Connect the phone to a wall charger — not a USB port — and leave it for 20–30 minutes before attempting to power on. Once the BMS detects voltage above its recovery threshold (typically around 2.9V), it re-initialises and normal charging resumes.

Frequently Asked Questions
The ZenFone Max M1 shuts off at around 25% after fitting the new battery — is the cell faulty?
The cell is most likely fine. The fuel gauge IC on the ZB555KL is calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve, so it misjudges the voltage cliff on the new cell and triggers shutdown before the display reaches 0%. Run one full discharge — use the phone until it powers off on its own — then charge to 100% with fast charging disabled. After that single cycle, the coulomb counter recalibrates and the early shutdowns stop.
Fast charging stopped working after I swapped the battery on my ZenFone Max M1 — what happened?
On first use, the charge IC sometimes won't negotiate the proprietary fast-charge handshake with a new BMS until the cell has completed at least one standard charge cycle. Charge the phone once at normal speed using the stock charger and cable, let it reach 100%, then disconnect and try fast charging again. If fast charging still doesn't kick in after that cycle, check that you're using the original Asus adapter — third-party chargers don't always complete the handshake correctly.
The battery percentage jumps around erratically — it read 60%, then jumped to 45% within a minute without heavy use.
Erratic percentage readings after a cell swap are a fuel gauge IC issue, not a sign of a bad battery. The IC is still using the discharge model it built for the old cell, so its estimates drift when it samples the new cell's different internal resistance. The fix is a full recalibration cycle: drain the phone completely until it shuts itself off, then charge to 100% in one uninterrupted session with fast charging off. One complete cycle is usually enough for the IC to rebuild an accurate model of the new cell.
