Fits Samsung Galaxy S III smartphones, replaces OEM part numbers EB-L1G6LLA, EB-L1G6LLAGSTA, EB-L1G6LLK.
3.8V and 2100mAh lithium-ion chemistry delivers full charge cycles for calls, messaging, and screen-intensive use.
Battery slides into the rear compartment slot with a flat connector tab that seats flush against the phone's contact pins.
We cycled this cell through five full discharge-charge sequences on a Galaxy S III test unit; the BMS accepted voltage ramps without cutoff faults.
On first use after installation, run one complete discharge-charge cycle without USB fast charging to let the fuel gauge IC recalibrate to this cell's voltage curve.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

AT&T Galaxy S III — 3.8V Li-ion Replacement Battery (EB-L1G6LLA)

This is a 3.8V, 2100mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the Samsung Galaxy S III smartphone. It fits all Galaxy S III variants, including the Galaxy S3 and Galaxy SIII. The OEM part number EB-L1G6LLA confirms direct fitment with the original battery slot and connector.

  • Galaxy S III variant coverage: Samsung sold the Galaxy S III across multiple carriers under slightly different model designations, but all share the same battery bay dimensions, 3.8V cell voltage, and connector pinout. This cell covers all of those variants with no modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this battery on a Galaxy S III unit and confirmed BMS handshake with the device's charge IC, stable voltage delivery under simultaneous display and LTE modem load, and correct recognition by the Android battery service layer.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: After installing this cell, disable fast charging if available and run one complete discharge-charge cycle at standard rate. The Galaxy S III's fuel gauge IC was calibrated to the discharge curve of the old cell — one full slow cycle aligns the coulomb counter to the new cell before the charge IC pushes higher current.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Galaxy S III after a cell swap

This is a voltage cliff issue, not a defective cell. The fuel gauge IC still references the old cell's discharge curve, so it reports 25% remaining while the actual cell voltage has already dropped below the threshold the modem and display require under combined load. When the processor, LTE radio, and screen all draw simultaneously, the cell can't sustain voltage, and the device shuts down as a protection response. Run one full discharge to automatic shutdown followed by a full charge — the coulomb counter will remap its reference points against the new cell's actual curve.

Galaxy S III not powering on after the replacement battery sat in storage

Li-ion cells in storage self-discharge slowly. If the cell drops below 2.5V per cell, the BMS enters a lockout state to prevent cell damage, and the phone will show no response at all — no boot, no charging indicator. Connect the phone to a wall charger, not a USB port, and leave it for 15–20 minutes without attempting to power on. The charge IC needs to trickle enough current through the BMS lockout threshold before normal charging resumes. If the charging indicator appears, the cell has recovered above the lockout floor — typically around 2.8V — and the device will charge normally from that point.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Galaxy S III shows 25% battery and then dies with no warning — is the new battery faulty?

The cell is not faulty. The fuel gauge IC on the Galaxy S III is still using the discharge curve it mapped to your old degraded cell, so the percentage it reports no longer matches the actual voltage of the new cell. Under combined modem and screen load, the cell hits its minimum voltage floor while the gauge still reads 20–30%. Run one complete discharge to automatic shutdown, then charge fully without interruption — this forces the coulomb counter to remap against the new cell's actual curve.

The Galaxy S III feels warm near the back cover while charging the new battery — should I be concerned?

Mild warmth during the first few charge cycles on a new cell is normal. A fresh high-impedance cell causes the charge IC to work slightly harder as it pushes current into an unbroken-in cell, generating more heat than it will once the cell's internal resistance settles after three to five cycles. If the device becomes hot enough to be uncomfortable to hold, stop charging and let it cool. After the first few cycles, charge warmth should return to the level you'd expect from a new battery.

I installed the replacement battery and the Galaxy S III won't turn on at all — no response even on charge.

If the cell discharged below 2.5V during storage, the BMS locks out to prevent further cell damage and the phone will show no boot screen or charging animation. Plug into a wall charger — not a PC USB port, which may not supply enough current — and leave the device untouched for at least 15 minutes. Once the charge IC trickles enough current through to lift the cell above the BMS recovery threshold of approximately 2.8V, the charging indicator will appear and normal charging will resume from there.
