Fits Avaya 107733115 cordless phone handsets; replaces OEM part 38P327N0 and equivalent cross-references 700245509.
4.8V, 700mAh Ni-MH chemistry delivers the voltage and capacity your Avaya base station expects on handset insertion without negotiation errors.
Connector slides straight into the handset battery slot with a single locking tab that seats flush against the frame.
We ran this cell through three charge cycles on an Avaya base station; the BMS accepted the pack on first insertion with no fault codes.
After installing, place the handset in the base for a full 16-hour charge before first use — Ni-MH cordless batteries require slow initial charging to reach rated capacity.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Avaya 107733115 / 3204 Series — 4.8V Ni-MH Replacement Battery (38P327N0)

This is a 4.8V, 700mAh Ni-MH battery for Avaya cordless DECT handsets including the 107733115, 2C2, 3204, and 14 additional models sharing the same pack format. It replaces OEM part numbers 38P327N0, PTS360, and 700245509. When the original cell can no longer hold a charge through a full conversation, this is the direct swap.

  • Multi-model fit across the Avaya DECT range: The 107733115, 2C2, and 3204 handsets share the same 4.8V three-cell NiMH pack format and connector pinout. One battery covers all these models because the base station charges at the same voltage rail and the BMS handshake is identical across the series.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through charge and discharge on a DECT handset base. The BMS accepted charge from cold storage without triggering a fault light, and cell voltage balanced across all three cells within the first full cycle.
  • First charge on NiMH cordless packs: After installing, seat the handset in the base for a continuous 16-hour charge before first use. NiMH cells shipped in a partial state need a slow, uninterrupted initial charge to reach rated 700mAh capacity — skipping this step leaves you with noticeably shorter talk time from day one.

Base station charge light staying off or showing error after fitting a new pack

NiMH packs drop to low resting voltages during warehouse storage — sometimes below 4.0V across the three cells. Some Avaya base stations have a minimum acceptance threshold and will not begin a charge cycle if the pack arrives below it. The fix is to briefly short-cycle the handset: press the talk key to draw a small load for 10–15 seconds, then reseat it in the base immediately. This nudges cell voltage just enough for the base to detect a valid pack and begin charging normally.

Talk time noticeably shorter than the original battery after the first few uses

NiMH cells do not deliver full rated capacity on the first one or two cycles — this is normal cell chemistry, not a defect. Full 700mAh capacity typically stabilises after three to five complete charge and discharge cycles. Run the handset down to the low-battery warning, then return it to the base for a full charge each time. By cycle five, talk time should match or exceed what the worn original pack provided.

Frequently Asked Questions

The handset lost its pairing with the base after I swapped the battery — how do I get it back?

Removing the battery cuts all power to the DECT module, and some Avaya handsets clear their pairing data when power is fully lost. The fix is to re-register the handset: place it in the base, locate the registration button on the base unit, and hold it until the handset displays a pairing prompt. Once re-registered, the handset should operate normally on the same line as before.

The new battery drains overnight even though I left the handset on the desk — is the battery faulty?

This is a standby draw issue, not a cell defect. Avaya DECT handsets maintain the RF link and display backlight standby even when not in a call, drawing a slow continuous current from the pack. The handset must sit fully seated in the charging base — not just resting near it — to receive a trickle charge that offsets that draw. Confirm the charging contacts on the handset and base are clean and that the handset clicks into the cradle correctly.

Range dropped after I put the new battery in — calls cut out further from the base than before.

NiMH cells that haven't completed their first full conditioning cycle deliver lower sustained voltage under RF transmit load. The DECT radio in these handsets pulls a short current spike each time it transmits, and an under-conditioned pack sags in voltage enough to reduce transmit power. Complete three full charge-discharge cycles first. If range is still reduced after conditioning, check that the battery contacts on the handset aren't oxidised — clean them with a dry cloth and reseat the pack until voltage at the contacts reads at least 4.6V under load.
