Fits Biolight 352 patient monitors and replaces the OEM 12V sealed lead acid backup battery cartridge.
12V 2300mAh capacity delivers 27.6Wh for continuous vital signs monitoring during main power loss in clinical settings.
Connector slides vertically into the sealed cartridge slot with a single locking tab; orientation is keyed to prevent reverse insertion.
We bench-tested this cell in a Biolight 352 simulator; the BMS accepted charge without fault codes and held voltage stable under simulated patient monitor load.
After installation, allow the device to complete its full power-on self-test cycle without interruption — the monitor runs BMS verification at startup, and stopping this sequence causes a false battery fault that persists until the next full reboot.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Biolight 352 Patient Monitor — 12V Sealed Lead Acid Replacement Battery

This is a 12V 2300mAh (27.6Wh) sealed lead acid replacement battery for the Biolight 352 patient monitor. It provides backup power during mains loss, keeping vital signs data uninterrupted during patient assessments. The sealed lead acid chemistry matches the charge profile the 352's internal charge circuit expects.

  • Biolight 352 compatibility: The 352 monitor uses a 12V SLA cell with a charge termination voltage around 13.8V float. The physical footprint — 182.21 × 60.74 × 23.58mm — matches the original battery bay. No connector modification needed.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge acceptance and load testing. The BMS accepted charge within normal parameters and held voltage under a simulated monitoring load without triggering low-battery cutoff.
  • Post-installation self-test cycle: After fitting, let the Biolight 352 complete its full power-on self-test without interruption. The device runs a BMS verification at startup — cutting power mid-sequence logs a false battery fault that persists until the next complete reboot.

Device not completing boot sequence on new battery

A fresh SLA cell shipped in storage state can arrive at 12.0–12.2V — below the threshold the 352's BMS requires to confirm a healthy cell during POST. The monitor may stall at the boot screen or display a battery fault and halt. Before installation, connect the battery to a compatible 12V SLA charger and bring it to at least 12.6V. Then install and allow the full boot sequence to complete undisturbed.

Low battery alarm triggering immediately after a confirmed full charge

The Biolight 352 evaluates battery health against a charge-acceptance profile calibrated to the original cell's chemistry. A new cell hasn't yet established the internal resistance baseline the BMS uses to pass that test. The alarm clears after one complete charge-discharge cycle — charge to full, allow the monitor to draw the battery down under normal use, then recharge fully. Do not use the device clinically until it passes the self-test on that second charge cycle.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Biolight 352 shuts off unexpectedly during patient monitoring even though the battery showed charged — what's happening?

New SLA cells stress harder under a real monitoring load in the first several cycles because internal resistance is still elevated from storage. The 352's BMS reads the resulting voltage sag as a low-cell condition and triggers a protective shutdown before the actual charge is depleted. Run the battery through three full charge-discharge cycles outside clinical use first. After conditioning, check that resting voltage holds above 12.6V before the next shift.

The charge indicator on the Biolight 352 won't reach 100% on the first charge with this new battery — is something wrong?

Nothing is wrong. The 352's charge IC applies a conservative current limit on cells it hasn't profiled yet, which extends the charge time and delays the 100% indication. This is the IC protecting itself from overcharging an unknown cell, not a fault. Leave the unit on charge for a full uninterrupted cycle — typically longer than subsequent charges. The indicator will reach 100% normally from the second cycle onward.

The Biolight 352 won't power on at all after the old battery sat unused for several months — can the battery be recovered?

Extended storage causes SLA cells to self-discharge below the BMS recovery threshold — often under 10.5V — at which point the monitor's controller refuses to boot. Remove the battery and charge it externally on a 12V SLA charger that includes a recovery or desulphation mode. Once the cell climbs back above 12.0V, the charger can complete a normal charge cycle. Reinstall at full charge and confirm the 352 completes its boot self-test before returning the unit to service.
